I was a fan of Mr. Gregory's stand-up routine (the first time I saw his performance on TV was introduced by Wanda Sykes). Since then I started to follow him. This book covers the high lights of his dedication to a just, inclusive and supportive society. I was pleasantly surprised to learn about his campaign to improve diet and raising awareness of sugar, chemical and hormone etc. in our diet. His book diet book was published back in 1974, but I only became health conscious eater in last decade or so (after 30s). Even though I had many American black people, nobody mentioned Mr. Gregory's diet (when I shared that I was a fan of his stand up and advocacy). Why aren't we promoting this healthy lifestyle instead of focusing on micro aggression and implicit bias? Do leaders these days don't know any better or simply don't care enough about general population? The core political message should be about uniting in good health rather than dividing in race or cast systems. Instead of embracing the truth and implementing solutions we keep on researching and reinventing ways to repeat historical mistakes. Please make Mr. Gregory's essential writings part of text books in schools.
