Story
Dalinar Kholin's Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost. The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.

More Like Fan Fiction

In my mind, the first book of this series was perfection. Best book I have ever read. But Oathbringer feels like it’s nothing but political virtue signaling. That would be tolerable if the story was good, but it isn’t. There is legitimately only one beautiful scene in this book. Everything else feels like it was written by a fan, because it’s cheesy, makes very little sense, and makes the world seem very small.

This course was released in 2019, but seems to be actually recorded in 2012 or earlier. It's information is too old.
