"I will read EVERY book this author publishes"
Reviewed: 04-22-18
Great story line, action-packed with flawed people finding their way with Jesus. The book pulls no punches as it examines the painful moral failings of a pastor, which mirror the violence in society at large. The author takes a bold turn from his previous best-selling series and I mourn the loss deeply, yet was refreshed by this new storyline. The added bonus of a dog rescue sweetens the pot considerably. Even if you are not especially "religious," this story has plenty to offer and is a study in the human existence. I would urge you to give it a listen if you have not heard any of Goodwin"s stories before. You shan"t be disappointed.

That I will have to wait for the next book! I want to read it now... I wanted it to be all wrapped up but this gives me a reason to live on. Perhaps even more compelling than the previous missives, this is not to be missed. Just when you think your heroines cannot escape their current fate, they come through yet again.

Story
Could we be living in a time of which there is more prophetic writings than of any period in history? Noah Parker, like many in the United States, has been asleep at the wheel. During his complacency, the founding precepts of America have been slowly, systematically destroyed by a conspiracy that dates back hundreds of years. The signs can no longer be ignored and Noah is forced to pull his head out of the sand and see things for what they really are.

Easily the best series in the "prepper" category

Where does The Days of Noah rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was my favorite series and I"ve listened to a lot of the prepper series. I personally enjoy the way the biblical end times are portrayed.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Days of Noah?
When biblical prophecy was brought to life. There were parts of this series (and the continuing series Days of Elijah) that absolutely broke my heart. In a good way.
What about Kevin Pierce’s performance did you like?
Well, he has such a soothing voice that if I"m listening to it at night, I fall asleep and the next day have to back and figure out where I was!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The times they barely got out of seemingly impossible situations.

Would you listen to E.M.P.: The End of the Grid as We Know It again? Why?
Maybe in a few years when I"ve forgotten the story
What did you like best about this story?
The characters were believable and relatable.
What does Charles Hayward bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I love the way he narrates and will look for more books narrated by him. His voice is spot on and the brief pauses between different characters speaking make it clear who is the one he is giving voice to without having to constantly add in "he said" or "she interjected"
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Since that"s not a possibility in my life I never gave it any thought ;)

What made the experience of listening to Moment of Truth the most enjoyable?
The fast pace and interesting characters! Good story lines, kept you guessing.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mary, of course!
What didn’t you like about Kate Burton’s performance?
Audibly swallows a lot, sounds like she is sucking her tongue or a cough drop, it was so nauseating listening to it that I had to stop listening when I was eating. She has a pleasant voice and good nuances but the sounds are so loud.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Fast action and surpriste twists!
