...that being said - thos is one of the best I've books I've come across in too long! I highly suggest you ignore any reviews with plot details or summaries of any kind. The suspense will keep you addicted and reading all night...into the morning until you finish the book if you're like me. This is the first work I've read by this author...now going to go look for other books as this author has blown me away. Best storyline ever

I’ve got a list of people I absolutely don’t ever want to be stuck with on a boat, or a plane, or a train, and it starts and ends with the broody, grumpy, too-sexy-for-my-own good Axel Huxley. Also known as this romance novelist’s number one nemesis. The man is legendary for his mighty pen and his even mightier scowl. I tried to work together with the cocky thriller writer once upon a time, but the two of us are like vodka and good decisions. We don’t play well together.

It's obvious that the book was amazing when you're sad that it ended. So glad I purchased this one. Really enjoyed the narration and speed of plot development. I loved getting to know these characters. Heading on over to the next book as recommend by this author

This is the first book I've purchased by this author ...but I'm definitely going to read many more! Loved the characters and as with most amazing stories, I was sad when the book ended. The entire plot was fascinating and kept me so engaged... I listened nonstop all day long- just finishing at midnight!!! Can't recall the last book that had me so wrapped up that I couldn't put it down! While I enjoyed the narration...I bought the ebook version too and will likely re-read it soon- that's how much I loved this story. The mention of current timely issues like COVID added to the story's seemingly authentic plot. Loved the characters, their depth and development as well as the plot progression. I highly recommend this one y'all! Much thanks to Reese's book club for bringing this author and this book to my attention!

ok...I just finished this and just wow! I started it yesterday and didn't want to put it down! I loved the plot, characters and more than once got emotional. I won't include any spoilers but yes...I had tears running down my face at the end.
Now I'm going to go buy every single book Vi and Penelope have written. Definitely the best book I've read this year- (144 so far). I can't recommend this one enough...Can't imagine anyone with legit criticism I'd agree with. The narration was great too! Definitely buy this one!
