Mental Health Support in a Book!

I listened to this audiobook while on a road trip with my boyfriend and even though it is directed towards men, I found the information in this book to be invaluable for both men and women. We both loved listening to all of the different strategies to "do the work" to feel better emotionally. This work is so important for anyone with any sort of trauma to work through and this book makes it simple, straight-forward, non-threatening, and even enjoyable.
Overall, the book is well written by someone who has done the work and truly cares about making a difference in the world, and the the narrator is pleasant to listen to. A winning combination. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to gain emotional freedom to live a happier, healthier life.

It’s so handy to have all of this valuable nutrition information about vitamins and minerals and their effects on the body in one complete guide. I will be applying the information learned in this book to fill in some nutrition gaps I didn’t know I had. I also commend the narrator who did an amazing job presenting the information in a pleasant and easy to listen to way.

Helped me get my life back!

I feel like this is the book I've been waiting for all my life. It really helped me understand how I can work with my body instead of against it to undo a lifetime of unhealthy food habits based on the FDA's food pyramid that I was raised with- with grain as the base and fat at the top. I am so grateful for Dr. Sara's work based on medical studies for women (not men, as was the norm in the past) and for getting this information out for all women- I've lost 10 pounds since reading the book two months ago and looking forward to sheding more excess weight. I no longer look at it as losing weight but healing my body, balancing hormones, and creating metabolic flexibility. Weight loss is just an added bonus. Thank goodness I found this book! If you are a woman struggling with weight gain and hormonal changes due to menopause or perimenopause (or actually any woman at all) I highly, highly recommend you read this book!

Out of all the pregnancy guide books out there, this one really stood out to me because it includes things like listening to your inner voice (or guidance)- which was refreshing. I especially loved the meditations and affirmations in addition to all of the many wonderful ideas for self care during pregnancy. Really great information- highly recommend!

What a great concept for a historical fiction novel. As a history buff, I absolutely enjoyed every part of this book. It was very believable and could really happen- once someone invents a time machine. Loved it and highly recommend!
