Another one that touched me uniquely ✨

This one too touched me deeply and in some ways it isn’t surprising. I love this mini story arc about ferocious masculine rivalry turned respect and while not exactly friendship there is a camaraderie. I also deeply appreciate the exploration and reflection about romantic male female interactions. That there is a diversity of relationship patterns. Some men love headstrong women, others prefer more submissive ones, some prefer being able to entertain a lively exchange and all those. And vice versa. How to wisely navigate those waters so we raise and cultivate healthy individuals valued for who they are authentically, healthy couples, families, communities and beyond. Thank you so much for this novel. 🙏🏿✨

Meeting the in-laws is a daunting task even for those who are outgoing and socially capable. Since I’m neither, the prospect of meeting Slash’s parents has me scared to death. Somehow, he convinced me it would be easier meeting my in-laws for the first time at his brother’s wedding during Christmas in Italy instead of at our own church wedding in the spring. He also suggested bringing my parents along to meet them, too. That way it would reduce the chance of any unnecessary drama at our nuptials. Sounds reasonable, right? Wrong.

Every time I finish one of these novels it becomes a new favourite. I've enjoyed taking my time pausing and rewinding this one to make sure I caught everything.
I love this one a lot for the humour with its clear popular references, the political intrigue and maneuvering and the growing steam that sometimes was frustration, sometimes desire.
I love how unique, well developped the characters are in this serie. They have emotional depth, they feel real with real struggles.
Finally, this narrator is 🤩! These days I enjoy dual narration but he is simply so brilliant at portraying all the different characters!

The story, characters, world building is truly intriguing. I'm a fan of Erik Blomkvist's narration since the Big Bad Wolf serie by Charlie Adhara but it was harder to follow him in this one...Since the story is set in Prohibition era, I imagine a Graphic Audio version might be something to behold. The system in this story is that interesting.

LOVE the writing, It uniquely portrays so many things like the vampire world but especially the relationships. This serie has easily become a favourite of mine especially for the portrayal of Atlas and his ties to Cristian, his sister and in this last book, to Daria, the other Strigoi survivor.
