I could barely get through the 5th chapter

The author literally asked in the 5th chapter, "Did you know there are 24 hours in a day?" . . . and no, I'm not kidding. Every chapter up to #5 was like hearing someone talk about going somewhere but never getting there. She kept talking about how this book was going to affect the reader. I was like "Just get to it, and stop telling me about it." I literally was rolling my eyes with each chapter while I was driving and skipping to the end after the first quarter because I couldn't handle listening and not going anywhere. I hate to give bad reviews but I threw away $10 on this title.

I can barely stomach the female impersonations

the male narration in general is okay, but the female using four different voices is ridiculous. like it's not obvious she's changing her accent on each testimony.

I was looking forward to listening to this title but the narrator sounds like he's rushing through the read. It's so annoying trying to relax and listen when a narrator is reading at an uncomfortable pace. I just threw away $17 on this title.

I am disappointed. Every story is narrated by an actor ending in the person being saved by Annie's books. I get it, these people found their answer through the Naked Mind work, but it didn't feel real, it felt "acted out". I wanted a real person, with a real detailed story, and what led them to freedom without EVERYONE promoting the naked mind program. They could have shared what details led them to recovery without defaulting to Annie's books like one would Alcoholics Anonymous. Sometimes, the acting is so pretentious its hard to listen to.
