Story
Freedom from suffering is not only possible, but the means for achieving it are immediately within our grasp - literally as close to us as our own breath. This is the 2,500-year-old good news contained in the Anapanasati Sutra, the Buddha's teaching on cultivating both tranquility and deep insight through full awareness of breathing. In this book, Larry Rosenberg brings this timeless meditation method to life.

A very important book on meditation and mindfulness
Reviewed: 08-01-24
As a long time spiritual teacher on ACIM and healing, this book comes into my life as a call to meditation practice that aligned with our spiritual work. The Anapanasati Sutra as explained by Larry matched completely with our understanding on the natural process of connecting to our spiritual self and wisdom. The framework presented itself as a natural process of going deeper and deeper form the breathing. Grateful for the narrator voice over too. Very well articulated.

An interesting introduction to the Yoga tradition

Shadguru provided a detailed coverage of the discipline with interesting stories and funny jokes. A casual listening experience for a heavy topic. Like the way he describes the way people are perceiving yoga and how he corrected the understanding in a non judgmental way. A really recommended listen to everyone interested to know more about this eccentric tradition.

Story
In 1957, four years before his death, Carl Gustav Jung, psychiatrist and psychologist, began writing his life story. But what started as an exercise in autobiography soon morphed into an altogether more profound undertaking. The result is an absorbing piece of self-analysis: a frank statement of faith, philosophy, and principles from one of the great explorers of the human mind.

The narrator deserved a praise for giving life to the autobiography. Highly recommended read for anyone trying to explore the unconscious.

I was listening to this book as someone in our bi-weekly reading group suggested it as our reading session material. Heard of the complaint-free wristbands movement and has always wanted to read more about this movement. When I finally got the first glance over the material, I felt the practical respective the author is giving on why we should all workout a complaint-free relationship. Would definitely give it a thorough read again and would love to witness the impact a complaint free experience with people in my life.

A through overall exposure to the Course
Reviewed: 12-03-19
This is a thorough overall exposure to A Course in Miracles by Dr Kenneth himself. Being a long term teacher of the Course, he was able to give a really conclusive overview of what the keys of the Course is about and where one should pay attention to when studying the Course. This is the second time I purchase this book. The first time I had it, I return the title on listening to the second chapter. I felt it was too deep and hard to swallow. After 5 years, the mind got more mature and one day, I got inspired to download this title again. Things sound much clearer now and Ken made so much sense with his interpretation of the Course. For any serious students of the Course, please get this book and listen to it again and again. There are wisdom of the Course that got into clearer picture only when you got more grip of life and how the mind really work. Life is much at peace now and I am truly grateful to have the Course in my life.

Great content but don't like the mock sessions
Reviewed: 10-02-19
SImilar to all Katie's book, this one is a great one. The focus on approval is the main theme and is an important one to address given that many are tied up to the approval issue, especially with the online virtual communities. Just didn't like the mock up dialogue sessions. It feels dry and no feeling. That somehow diminishes the impact of the content a little.

Story
There is a way of knowing that can take you beyond where all your learning has taken you. It is the way of direct experience of truth. It is the way of the heart. It may be astonishing to hear that there is a continuation of A Course in Miracles, but it is true. Forty years ago, Jesus dictated ACIM to the scribe Helen Schucman. More recently, over three years, he similarly dictated A Course of Love to Mari Perron. Mari Perron is the channel. Students of ACIM will recognize the voice.

An unexpected gift from an unexpected Someone
Reviewed: 08-23-17
Would you consider the audio edition of A Course of Love: The Course to be better than the print version?
I feel both are great!
What other book might you compare A Course of Love: The Course to and why?
Graduation: The End of Illusions by Paul Norman Tuttle. This is one of those books that transcend the thinking mind.
Which character – as performed by Mari Perron – was your favorite?
She read the whole book nicely.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I felt touched at a few places in the book. The way Mari read it was the main reason making the materials so alive.
Any additional comments?
I got into ACOL through ACIM Workbook Lesson 233 “I give my life to God to guide today”. I was praying for God for guidance for the next step after feeling the need for the "next" after doing the workbook for the third time. Through a WeChat group on ACIM, I was sent the review by Bob on ACOL. Despite the negative review, one line caught my attention: "ACOL claimed to be the extension of the coursework of ACIM". It felt like a direct answer to my prayer. This audible came immediately upon the search for ACOL. Listening to Mari narrating the book was wonderful, but I have to admit that it was the reading of the book that really got the essence into my heart. Listening again to Mari afterward was much more connecting. This is a beautiful book. If you really open up and feel, you will have to agree that this is indeed the "next" book. Looking forward for the narration of the Treaties and the Dialogues.

Story
Philosophy begins with questions about the nature of reality and how we should live. These were the concerns of Socrates, who spent his days in the ancient Athenian marketplace asking awkward questions, disconcerting the people he met by showing them how little they genuinely understood. This engaging book introduces the great thinkers in Western philosophy and explores their most compelling ideas about the world and how best to live in it.

The inner mechanism of surrender was found to be of great practical benefit and is described in this book.
