Story
I know what I’m hiding. But the guy I left in bed after a steamy one-night stand…I haven’t a clue what’s going on behind those Clark Kent glasses of his. I’ve met his goofy dog Gomer, his social media-obsessed grandmother, and his sheep that lives in a palace. I know he wears a three-piece suit and a flannel shirt equally well–not to mention what he looks like underneath. I know he abruptly quit his job at that evil conglomerate.

Fun romcom with lots of heart
Reviewed: 12-11-24
Karen Grey's romances are always a treat for me as a nostalgia loving lady that likes call backs to growing up. Sam and Diane? A classic couple name for me!
For Fork's Sake is the third novel in the multi-author Farm 2 Forking series, and this time Sam Bedd is the one to fall in love. Sam's relationship with his family is strained, but underlying is so much love and caring for each other, even if they don't always understand him. His happily-ever-after with Diane started months ago with a one night stand, but to Diane, Sam represents everything that she is advocating against. Luckily Sam and Diane are able to sort out their differences, and Sam finally opens up to his family and starts mending fences. Along the way, we have some fun, lots of heart, and some steam to keep you warm at night.
The audio, narrated by Erin Mallon and Alistair Haynesbridge, really puts you right inside the story. You can feel Sam's pain of being the odd-man out within his family, and Diane's confusion with the assumptions that she made vs the man she knows Sam to be. Highly recommend the audio!

Story
Waking up hungover in the sheep pen is the least of my problems. The worst? A foreclosure notice for my family farm. Scratch that. The actual worst is the woman delivering the news: my ex, who broke my heart and left me behind for the big city. I’ve spent a decade trying to forget Lia Thorne, and now she’s the only one who can help my family dig ourselves out from our crushing debt and even stronger egos.

Fun start to a new series with great authors
Reviewed: 12-11-24
Since You've Bean Gone is an utter delight, and exactly what you expect from a Lainey Davis romcom. It's witty, it's fun, but it also addresses real life issues with heart and compassion.
Since You've Bean Gone is is the first book in the multi-author Farm 2 Forking series about the Bedd family, an upstate NY farming family trying to save the family farm. It's also a heartfelt second chance romance as Ethan Bedd has to work with Lia, his lost love, to save the farm. Ethan and Lia were high school sweethearts, and Ethan thought Lia was his future, until she left him behind. She had her reasons, and those reasons still exist, but Ethan makes sure the adult Lia knows that they're not insurmountable.
The audio, narrated by Erin Mallon and Alastair Haynesbridge, is top-notch. Erin and Alastair make sure we experience every giggle, every sigh, every moment of heartbreak and moment of glee.
This is a stand-alone romance, but how the Bedd family saves the farm is interwoven through the 5 book series. It's well-worth the read/listen!

Cows are better than people–a fact I've sworn by until the irresistibly upbeat Molly comes barreling into my life, running my farm stand and bringing the summer heat with her. She's also working for Fork Lick’s most debt-ridden business: my family's farm. I try to stay out of that manure pile. Except the crush I have on her makes me think about doing things like smiling all day and patching up my relationship with my brother.

Butter You Up, book 2 in the Farm 2 Forking multi-author romcom series definitely hit the spot. Molly, our merry-wanderer, is just want grumpy Alex needed to bring him out of his funk. Bonus points for then extended Bedd family, including Bah-bra, their intrepid sheep of hilarity.
Liz Alden's contribution to this series is fun, funny, happy, and really expands the Bedd Family's story. Narration by Erin Mallon and Alistair Haynesbridge is delightful and truly captures the spirit of Molly and Alex perfectly.

Story
I hate Ripley Brewer. So, why am I cuddling on his lap, peering into his ocean-blue eyes while cameras record our every move? My best friend needs my help to save her career, and I would do anything for her. Besides, filming a reality show sounds fun … until Ripley shows up to play the role of my fake boyfriend. As always, we nearly come to blows within minutes of seeing each other. The playboy billionaire accuses me of a setup, but I insist I’d rather live in a world without carbs than spend a minute with him.

I love a good enemies to lovers story written by an author that strikes the perfect balance between humor and the heart, and Georgia and Ripley definitely have that balance. Their banter was amazing, and we could feel them growing as they put their differences aside and truly got to know each other. This may be my favorite Brewer family book yet!
Lexi Maynard and Jason Clarke were amazing in this narration. Jason is a favorite of mine, and I know he's always going to deliver a stellar performance. Lexi is new to me, and she's definitely going on my list for future listens!

Story
Love doesn’t break us; it makes us whole, my nana used to say. However, one minute, my world is set on fire, literally. The next, I am raising a six-year-old as a single mom without a clear path ahead of us. No place to live. No job. No money. I’m returning to Sterling Falls to claim what’s mine, then there will be no looking back on this beloved small town, a place I consider a handful of sand in the hourglass of my life. Then again, Clay Sylver has shaken up that ancient time clock. The silver fox in his forties is a bit cocky, but solid in every way that matters.

Great romance with mature characters that are real
Reviewed: 12-04-24
L.B. Dunbar has once again delivered a shining example of a mature romance with characters that you care about, love that feels genuine, and a family that you want to adopt as your own.
Clay and Mavis were such a great couple, with a genuine connection from start to finish. Yes, they had history, but when Mavis opened up to Clay, it was obvious that they were meant to be. Add Dutton, Mavis' child, to the mix, and you had a family that was so caring, so loving and so accepting that it was immediately clear that they were meant to have forever.
The audio, narrated by Willa James and Oliver Highpoint, was a real treat to listen to. The way these two narrators brought L.B. Dunbar's writing to life was a great way to experience this story. I'm looking forward to more in this series.

Story
My name is Caroline "Candy" Cane, I own a country inn, date a man who runs a Christmas tree farm, and my mom's peppermint fudge wins first place at the Reindeer Corners' festival every year. Basically, I'm living every romance-loving girlie's small town dream. Until a last minute trip to New York City leads to catching my boyfriend banging a Rockette (in full elf costume). So, when I'm offered a chance to star in a hospitality-themed reality show, I jump at the chance to serve hot cocoa in roller skates on national television.

I truly enjoyed this holiday romcom from Lili Valente. Tons of heart, tons of heat, and a really cute and funny story to put you in the holiday spirit.
Candy gets out of her holiday-themed hometown after having her heart broken, and finds herself in a reality tv wonderland with her cousin's ex, Leo. Leo can't help but fall in love with Candy, who is so genuine it melts his Scroogy heart! It's a Hallmark romcom with spark, and really satisfies the holiday craving!
Narration by Sebastian York and Lili Valente is spot on. Sebastian is a perfect grump-in-love, and Lili captures all of the delight of the season.

Story
Halloween: it’s a holiday where people shed their boring everyday personalities and become fantastic beings ready for an epic party. Well, guess what? That’s Billy Boston 24/7, 365, baby! It’s who I was before I became a millionaire and it’s who I’ll always be. My beautiful next door neighbor, Donna, is a hardworking nurse who takes her job seriously and her fun even more so. All she wants is a no-strings arrangement and that’s fine by me. It’s Halloween for us every time we’re together because she likes to role play.

A Very No Strings Halloween delivered on the Billy Boston story we fans have been waiting for. From what knew of him, we expected Billy's story would be an interesting and totally unique one, and Kayley Loring and Connor Crais delivered on that promise.
This is one part trademark Kayley Loring romcom, and one part paranormal adventure. Donna and Billy are perfect for each other, and of course they couldn't fall in love in a normal way since everything in Billy's life is oversized and outrageous. But they do truly care about each other, and while they don't want love, it's what they get, and they couldn't be more happy.
Connor Crais and Mackenzie Cartwright narrated the audio, and it was perfect. Emotional, exciting, engaging. Everything I wanted for Billy.

Vera Kruger has dyed her hair every color of the rainbow and she’s turned two very important parts of me blue for as long as I’ve known her. She’s so deep under my skin that she’s a part of me, just like the small town we grew up in. No matter where I go on tour, she’s the one I wish I could come home to. Even if it’s to argue with her about absolutely anything. When I return to Beacon Harbor for the holidays, I’m not a screwup anymore.

Damien and Vera's journey was fun, steamy, emotional and very satisfying. The writing team of Kayley Loring and Connor Crais delivered another satisfying romance.
Damien and Vera have a lot of history, and a push-pull mutual attraction that has lasted years. Damien has always found inspiration, and frustration, in Vera, who has been his muse as long as he's known her. But does Vera know this? No. She's too busy trying to keep the whole world at a distance, with good reason.
These two complicated individuals were created by a writing team that thrives on witty banter, sarcasm and humor, and also delivers steam, emotion and heart in their romances. And they deliver so much more than just the relationship between the main character. We get a whole darn town, families and supporting cast that make you feel like you live in Beacon Harbor.
The narration, by Connor Crais and Emma Wilder, is fantastic. They're two of the absolute bests, and they always deliver plenty of emotion and humor.

Loved Garrett and Harper!
Reviewed: 09-14-24
I loved Temptation Trails, and Garrett Haven has become my new favorite Haven Brother. Claire Kingsley has once again written an often funny, always emotional, perfectly balanced romantic suspense.
I don't know how many people could make as bad a first impression as Garrett Haven did. He literally had a strike against him before Harper even laid eyes on him. He is lucky that Harper gave him another chance, but neither of them counted on finding the love of their life. They tried to fight it, they tried for casual, but when you're meant to be, you're meant to be.
The suspense is what had me hooked. Garret is a police officer with a huge heart, not only when it comes to love, but also when it comes to dedication to his work and to his town. Reviving a cold case, however, makes him and those he loves a target. Claire took us on a journey that had me engrossed and invested.
The audiobook, narrated by by Rose Dioro and Jason Clarke, was a perfect way to experience this story. They brought so much personality to their characters, and really embodied the story. Highly recommended.

Once upon a time I spent an evening flirting with a handsome stranger in a bar. But before we could finish what we started, I lost my nerve and fled. Months later, I’m minding my own business at work one morning when a stranger lets himself into the empty brewery. Panicked, I call 911, and the cops show up to slap on the handcuffs. In my defense, I have very good reasons to be afraid. Also in my defense, I’d never met my boss’s son.

loved Nash's return to the family brewery, and Livia regaining her freedom!
Golden Touch by Sarina Bowen is a rollercoaster ride of a story that you rooting for the good guys and true love the entire time. I loved the world and intrigue that Sarina created, and she delivered a thoroughly satisfying romantic suspense.
Nash and Livia were clearly destined to be. They met and were immediately captivated by each other, but it wasn't their time. Now that they're in each other's orbit again, their attraction can't be denied. When Livia's complicated past threatens their future, Nash work hard to make sure Livia doesn't run, and that she regains control of her life again.
This was a great story, and the audio has amazing narration by Samantha Brentmoor and Tim Paige, is perfectly suited to the characters and the story. I really love how much emotion they bring to the characters, and how they really make you feel the story, rather than just hearing the story.
