I enjoyed this novel very much. The story unfolded gently, thoughtfully, over time. Then an adventurous ending. Great!

Good story, whiny narrator
Reviewed: 11-30-24
This was a good effort to imagine the backstory of Aaron of the Bible. I enjoyed the story. However, to me, the narrator's voice was so irritating that I won't listen to the other audiobooks in the series. That's too bad, as Francine Rivers is a worthy author. Others liked the voice, so maybe it's just me.

Story
In this seemingly loveless world of ours, we might wonder if true love is attainable. Is it real, or is it perhaps a dancing illusion captured on Hollywood screens? And if this love dares to exist, does it satisfy as the poets say, or fade in our hearing like a passing whisper? The souls are few who have discovered these answers, and one of them is Nicolina, a feisty, flirtatious girl who fell in love with the most romantic man in all of post-war Germany. Little did they imagine the places where love would take them.

The way that Jesus came to her in the streets will leave you breathless, as will the heights to which God has since carried her. If you know of someone who believes they cannot be forgiven or return to Church, this is the book to give them. Listen to Transfigured. Be transfigured.
