Zo Grey is reeling from the sudden death of her mother when she receives a surprising call from an attorney in Divinity, Louisiana, with the news she has been left an inheritance by a distant relative, the terms of which he will only discuss in person. Destitute and alone, with nothing left to lose, Zo heads to Divinity and discovers she is the sole beneficiary of a huge fortune and a monstrosity of a house that sits ominously at the peak of Watch Hill—but she must live in it, alone, for three years before the house, or the money, is hers.

I, Aidan the Divine, am, well, divine. My name was given to me by the Dragon Queen herself! I'm a delight! Cheerful. Charming. And a mighty warrior who is extremely handsome with a very large and well-hidden hoard of gold. I am also royal born, despite the fact that most in my family are horrendous beings that don't deserve to live. And yet, Branwen the Awful - a low-born, no less - either tells me to shut up, or, worse, ignores me completely.

I love this series but I cannot stand this narrator. she's read probably at least four of the books the latest ones and each book she picks up and reads she changes the way she pronounces the characters names. she'll change the way she pronounces their names during the book. stuff like that drives me nuts. please bring back the original narrators please please please cuz I know the series isn't done. if you don't mind a horrible narrator you cannot go wrong with this series.

Story
War makes strange bedfellows. I, Gaius Domitus, one-eyed rebel dragon king of the Provinces, know that better than most, since I have to fight off half my ungrateful family on a regular basis to keep law and order here in my lands. But I never expected to have to consort with a barbarian human woman. Kachka is beautiful, if you like them fierce - and of course I do. But she keeps complaining about how spoiled and decadent I am and how a feared Daughter of the Steppes has no time for foolish dragons.

I am hooked on the series so I continue to listen but I am so nauseated and disgusted with the current narrator. she's been narrating after an amazing reader for several books now and every single book she narrates, she changes how she pronounces names. what the f@#$? it is beyond annoying absolutely beyond annoying. but I will continue to listen because I love this series. but please if anybody is reading this please for all the dragon gods sake get rid of this narrator! seriously how did Dagmar become Dogmar????? she is one of the main characters and she has been in the books continuously forever and all the sudden in this book she becomes dog instead of dag what the &_$#@- &!!!!!

horrible narrator worst ever
Reviewed: 07-16-24
okay so what stood out for me the most obviously is the narrator. you would think a new narrator would listen to the previous narrator and figure out how names are supposed to be pronounced. I actually even went on Google and figured out how names were supposed to be pronounced in the previous narrator had them spot on. this narrator not only chose to completely change the pronunciation of names but she would change how she pronounced them even through the story. it made it so awful. and her pauses. I kept thinking that there was something wrong with my player she would just quit reading and then she'd start again it was so annoying. I don't know who's narrating the next one but I really hope it's not her cuz I don't know if I can keep going with this series which is tragic cuz it's a fucking great series!

I don't watch television I do a lot of gardening and take a lot of walks and I like listening to my romance what can I say. well actually I can say you cannot go wrong with this series and Mary Sarah as the narrator does very good. I don't have a problem at all with her sometimes women doing male voices doesn't work but she does a pretty good job pretty believable. at least it doesn't make you cringe. wonderful strong heroines kick butt heroes got to love those alpha males I'm telling you. very very amazing series with just the right amount of adventure spice drama laughter and absolutely great happy endings!!!

Admittedly, when it comes to courtship, the marquess of Wallingham's strategy has been a few roses short of a bouquet. Charles Bainbridge has spent two long years wooing the woman he loves, waiting patiently until he is half-mad. Now, at a winter hunting party, he has one last chance to persuade her they are meant to be. This time, he won't let meaningless doubts, his meddling mother, or a few mishaps and mangled bonnets stand in his way.
