Story
Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

Short and sweet

It was a good, basic overview of dinosaurs. We just left Dinosaur National Monument so I was in the mood for the drive home. Obviously at just under 3 hours it wasn’t the most extensive book on dinosaurs that I’ve listened to, but it had some new data and facts I hadn’t heard before. It’s worth a listen.

Story
When did you last hang out with Jim, Pam, Dwight, Michael, and the rest of Dunder Mifflin? It might have been back in 2013, when the series finale aired...or it might have been last night, when you watched three episodes in a row. But either way, long after the show first aired, it’s more popular than ever, and fans have only one problem - what to watch, or listen to, next. Fortunately, writer Andy Greene has that answer. In his brand-new oral history, The Office: The Untold Story of the Greatest Sitcom of the 2000s, Greene takes listeners behind the scenes.

Super interesting if you love The Office

I wish they could have gotten some of the real people to record their own bits but the stories were interesting. Makes me want to start the series over again.

A great story for dealing with loss.

Another stellar book by the Morrises. I really enjoyed what they had to say about loss and how to cope. Everybody is dealing with their own struggles and demons and we don’t always know what they are. This story of Willa highlights what a few kids are going through and how they can support and try to better understand each other.

History?

I was actually hoping to learn some Latin History with maybe some comedy. It was bad impressions, slightly offensive stereotypes and foul language and pretty much nothing else. I’m glad it was just an hour.
