When Tea accidentally resurrects her brother from the dead, she learns she is different from the other witches in her family. Her gift for necromancy means that she's a bone witch, a title that makes her feared and ostracized by her community. Pleasantly surprised

I started this book because I wanted to support minority women authors. I had no expectations which made this all the more enjoyable. The growth of the character was the right pace and the twists were well woven into the overarching story.

Not for me

This book was really boring. It did little to capture my attention as someone who really enjoys fantasy as well as intrigue. I had high hopes for this book and I am genuinely sad that it did not meet even a quarter of my expectations. This is definitely a book for someone just not me.
