Story
Caroline Wilton has no time for romance. She’s too busy running her family’s bar to even think about dating. She’s also one of Starfall Point’s resident witches, responsible for keeping the local ghost population in check. But even the most magical of witches can use a shoulder to lean on, which is what happens when Ben Hoult, the handsome doctor she never quite got over, walks back into her life. Ben is a single dad now, and as he and Caroline reconnect, they discover that they both have a knack for helping and protecting the people near and dear to them.

Entertaining and creative. Not sure if Molly Harper is Wiccan or not, but she added a lot of “truths” to this story. Narration is excellent. Worth the listen!

Story
Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. When Emerson tragically passes away, she leaves one final wish for her best friends: to conquer the fears they still carry as adults. For Marley, it's coming to terms with the survivor's guilt she's carried around since her twin sister's death, which has left her blind to the real chance for romance in her life. For Georgia, it's learning to stop trying to live up to her mother's and brother's ridiculous standards and learning to accept love.

Story
None of this was supposed to happen. It all started so innocently. Charlie only stopped in Redemption, Wisconsin, because she was lost. She never meant to stay. She never meant to fall in love. She never meant to bring the danger she was running from into this wholesome midwestern town. Except Redemption had some secrets of its own...and they were even more deadly than what she was trying to escape.

This series is really good and well written! The only reason I gave “The Summoning” 4 stars instead of five, is because it is too short of a story for the price.

More than romance
Reviewed: 06-05-21
I love JA Huss and John McClain collaborations. These books are more than a romance; they explore dealing with the past, living in the now, and creating the kind of life you want to live. The books are serious, light, humorous, happy, sad…. All in one. The sex scenes are pretty great too! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Story
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Insightful, entertaining, comical, inspirational, and worth every second! I contemplated if I would like it as much if it came from a “no-name.” Honestly, I probably wouldn’t. I am slightly ashamed to admit that. Loving McConaughey on the big screen is what prompted me to listen; Learning who he is as person, KEPT me listening. Highly recommended! Going to listen to it again. Thank you, Matthew, Loved it!
