Story
Each of the Maguire brothers has his own driving, single-minded obsession. For Jonathan it is his magnificent, talented, and desirable wife, Harriet. For Roger it is the elaborate universe he has constructed in a shed in their parents' garden, populated by millions of tiny insects. While Jonathan's pursuit of Harriet leads him to feelings of jealousy and anguish, Roger's immersion in the world he has created reveals a capability and talent that are absent from his everyday life.

It's not a typical murder mystery. But it was a lot of fun. I was hoping there was a little more at the end.

Story
After a tornado rips through her town, store owner Abigail comes across a piece of fabric from a wedding dress among the devastation. Abigail is moved to start collecting other swatches of fabric she finds - her neighbor’s kitchen curtains, a man’s necktie, a dog’s bed - which she stashes in shopping bags. As she pursues her seemingly absurd quest, horrible realities spark the question, “What kind of a God would allow such tragedy?”

It was a great story and it really made you think. I liked the example they gave of a train going through a tunnel and not jumping off the train just because it was dark. It was a reference to God.

a little struggle to continue in the beginning. But I came back to it and loved the characters that developed. I did have a problem with a money issue in the end. It made it seem like the Amish people were taken advantage of because a deal couldn't have been struck without the owners' agreement. I'm trying not to give away what happens in the story.

Imagine being under moral attack for twenty years! They story allows you to picture this murder and it's consequences to the community. I don't think I could have taken this attack over all that time.
The book starts a little slow and awkwardly. but it's worth it to stick with it.
