I like Beth Moran writing. It’s almost time for my annual listen of her book “Christmas every day”. Just like this book it makes me laugh, cry a little, all of the things. The characters here feel very real, believable. And some of the antics they get up to are funny. I liked how the story in the story took a while to unfold. I recommend this book!

Great story line. Good transitions from past to present and back. Good, well developed characters whom were all different. I felt real angst as Grace’s story came about. The time period makes me realize how difficult life would have been for females.
Narrator did a great job. She has a very soothing voice and does. It jumps around in pitch which would have ruined this story.

The response from some of the best writers on the planet: Game on! The result: Eleven stories that are twisty, scary, surprising and bursting with imagination. An egg worth more than its weight in gold. A mysterious operative known only as Owl. An eagle-watcher who sees more than she should. Not the best narrator I’ve ever heard. Wasn’t till the end of the book. I realized the book is almost 25 years old also. Lots of advancements in Audi Audible, since then, was pretty good! However, it took quite a while to get from point A to point B. I still had questions after the ending. Overall a good listen.
