Story
When Wren Jacobi sets eyes on Wolf Hall Academy’s newest inductee, all he sees is an easy mark. A reserved little girl with a target painted on her back. He knows nothing of my troubled past, though. Nothing of my mother’s suspicious death or the horrific treatment I’ve had to endure at the hands of my psychotic father. And he has no idea of the lengths that I, unassuming little Elodie Stillwater, will go to in order to break the savage beast who dreams of breaking me first.

Story
Dr. Mikhail “Misha” Budnikov takes one look at fellow fencer Ryan O’Connor and instantly knows his type. The undisciplined hothead is all ego with no finesse and even less control. In short, Misha’s pet peeves personified. To put the arrogant kid in check, Misha challenges him to a sparring match, which he predictably wins. Not so predictably, Ryan asks him to be a mentor and show him how to fence. Startled by the moment of humility, Misha agrees. What begins as fencing lessons becomes something much hotter, and before they know it, Misha is giving Ryan an entirely different kind of education.

Story
The petty, vicious gods demand that Bib the sorcerer lure his friend, the young king, into a losing war. Bib thinks he’s clever enough to arrange things so that the king is defeated yet keeps his throne - and his head. But the king won’t listen until Bib crushes some traitors for him. Faced with rebellious nobles, mystical killers, and allies he can’t control, Bib finds that cleverness needs a sword and some vicious magic to back it up. Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

Stop Changing Narrators
Reviewed: 11-16-22
Dickson did a fine job, and would've been great IF he'd read the whole series. But the WORST thing you can do to an audio book series is change readers. If you must, have the new narrator go back and record the first books in the series and eat the production costs.
