Story
Atomic Power with God, Thru Fasting and Prayer is a short work by the spirited evangelist Franklin Hall. The book describes how prayer during extended fasts can heal the body and soul, and bring practitioners greater spiritual power to exalt and glorify Jesus Christ. In the book, Hall described his own introduction to fasting and prayer through friendship with a Oklahoma family advocating the practice in 1932. He fasted and prayed with them in anticipation of a large revival-and at the ensuing event, "scores of people were healed of all types of afflictions."

EXCELLENT, ENCOURAGING, INSPIRING!

I am so glad that I selected this title for my Library. I've read the book several times and even listened to the audio on Youtube. (that was not the best option). The Introduction by itself is powerful, (not the same as in the book....but BETTER). The narrator is excellent. The content is relevant to our time. Why it could have been written yesterday. THIS GENERATION NEEDS THIS BOOK ...BADLY. In fact I would say the material and plan presented in this book is our only hope, IF .... we expect to survive these last days in relationship with a LIVING GOD!. GOD IS GOOD! Read this if you are perplexed by the times and you don't know what to do. God has provided an answer for successful end time living. This will prepare you for now and for an eternity with God.

This message is "right on" and is needed by every believer engaged in battle (that includes all of us) for their spiritual life and well being in these precarious "end times". WE NEED THIS KIND OF TEACHING WITH THE EMPHASIS ON THE BIBLE....FORGET THE MOTIVATIONAL "FEEL GOOD" NO REPENTANCE NECESSARY TYPES OF MESSAGES SPOUTED OVER SOCIAL MEDIA, TV, ETC. i highly recommend it to all believers of all ages.

Sustained by God's provision, the Müller house "Breakfast Club" of thirty orphans grew to five large houses that ultimately over ten thousand children would call home. George Müller trusted God with a depth rarely seen. His faith and generosity set a standard for Christians of all generations.

Reviewed: 07-11-21
I have heard of George Muller's life of prayer and faith since I accepted Christ decades ago, but it was not until just recently that I decided to read all the printed material I could find on him and by him to learn more about his remarkable life. His emphasis on the Word of God in the life of a believer is essential knowledge for the church today. His emphasis on simply trusting God for financial provision is very instructive. I was so inspired by this well made Audible narrative that I listened repeatedly over just a couple of days. The histories of our "fathers of the faith" always serve as a great example to a modern church searching for the "old paths to walk in". (Jeremiah 6:16) This is an enjoyable audible edition of his life. I highly recommend it to everyone.

George Muller stared at the beggar girl. She was no older than five and was piggybacking her little brother. Her mother had died in the cholera epidemic sweeping England. Her father had never returned from the mines. Standing in the muddy street, this little girl gave a face to Bristol's countless orphans. With scarcely enough food or money for his own family, George Muller opened his heart and home. Sustained by God's provision, the Muller house "Breakfast Club" of thirty orphans grew to five large houses that ultimately over ten thousand children would call home.

Story
The human heart was created with a great capacity to love. But along with that comes a great capacity to feel pain. There is no denying that those who love us, who are closest to us, can wound us the most profoundly. That kind of pain can be difficult, if not impossible, to overcome. And it can feel even more impossible to continue loving in the face of it. Yet that is exactly what we are called to do. Sharing his own story of pain, pastor and best-selling author Jentezen Franklin shows us how to find the strength, courage, and motivation to set aside the hurt, see others as God sees them, and reach out in love.

Story
A thought-provoking work on one of the least understood - but most powerful - disciplines of Christianity. Most believers know about fasting, but few of us really understand the wonderful benefits that come when we fast with purpose and direction. Written in Dr. Elmer Towns' dynamic, descriptive style, this title gives the why of fasting, rather than just the how. Towns' avoids a glut of techniques and schedules; instead he provides a probing look at Isaiah 58, often called "the fasting passage."

Story
People fast for many reasons: to break an addiction, to seek God for healing, to discover the answer to a lingering problem, and some fast for revival. But the greatest reason to fast is to get to know God intimately and to feed on the bread of life. This book is not an instruction manual on the methods of fasting or on how to pray. Rather, Dr. Elmer Towns describes the spirit of fasting that leads to an intimate knowing of Jesus Christ.

The content is wonderful. This is a classic on fasting from a person who knows and has experienced the power of fasting and prayer. A highly esteemed teacher in the Body of Christ. It does create a desire and hunger to know God personally. So it has achieved the author's objective.

Most people who are ensnared by the bait of Satan don’t even realize it. Don’t be fooled! You will encounter offense, and it’s up to you how it will affect your relationship with God. Your response will determine your future. If offense is handled correctly, you will become stronger rather than bitter. John Bevere shows you how to stay free from offense and escape the victim mentality.
