Story
Chaol Westfall has always defined himself by his unwavering loyalty, his strength, and his position as the captain of the Guard. But all of that has changed since the glass castle shattered, since his men were slaughtered, since the king of Adarlan spared him from a killing blow, but left his body broken. His only shot at recovery lies with the legendary healers of the Torre Cesme in Antica - the stronghold of the southern continent's mighty empire.

In New York, there's a troll under the Brooklyn Bridge, a boggle in Central Park, and a beautiful vampire in a penthouse on the Upper East Side. Of course, most humans are oblivious to this, but Cal Leandros is only half-human. His father's dark lineage is the stuff of nightmares - and he and his entire otherworldly race are after Cal.

Wasn't sure at first but it hooked me
Reviewed: 12-07-16
Honestly when the book first started I wasn't sure if I would continue.
I was on my third book, for some reason the first two I started (unrelated to this one) just did not hold my attention. I started to feel the same way with this but stuck with it. I'm glad I did.
Written, in some ways, like an old school detective movie and flowed kind of like an old Magnum PI episode but in a way that was entertaining and kept me hooked.
Just downloaded the next two books in the series and hoping the trend continues.

I look down at my Audible player and see that I have 3 hours left in the book. Immediately I wonder how he will ever wrap up some of the loose ends before the end.
Let's just say this... He already sold me the next book... Now the waiting...

Kept getting better...

What did you love best about Storm Front?
At first the narration seemed a little odd, it was almost depressing actually. The storyline was also hard, at first, to really get into. I like to feel "part" of the book, get to know the character(s) and in the beginning I really felt that Harry might not be someone I want to get to know.
However, as the storyline evolved so did Dresden. Within the first couple hours I started to find myself wanting to listen more than just during my 30 minute commute to work. As the story reached near end, I found myself getting "excited" (as much as I get excited anyway) when I knew I would have an opportunity to listen to more of the book.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, but at the end I listened for a couple hours at one sitting.
Any additional comments?
Just bought book 2 and looking forward to it.
