Story
A century ago, the Sentience Wars tore the galaxy apart and nearly ended the entire concept of intelligent space-faring life. In the aftermath, a curious tradition was invented - something to cheer up everyone who was left and bring the shattered worlds together in the spirit of peace, unity, and understanding. Once every cycle, the civilizations gather for the Metagalactic Grand Prix - part gladiatorial contest, part beauty pageant, part concert extravaganza, and part continuation of the wars of the past.

Story
In this classic fantasy novel from author Michael Ende, small and insignificant Bastian Balthazar Bux is nobody's idea of a hero, least of all his own. Then, through the pages of an ancient, mysterious book, he discovers the enchanted world of Fantastica, and only Bastian himself can save the fairy people who live there. Shy, awkward Bastian is amazed to discover that he has become a character in the mysterious book he is reading and that he has an important mission to fulfill.

2 parts -- 1 Really Good - 1 Good
Reviewed: 04-19-22
The first part was much like the movie but I think better. The second takes off where the movie ended and told of the further adventures (some the tried to put into the second movie not very well)
2nd was good but more a series of short stories that he went through. A little more trouble keeping my interest.

Story
In Of Dice and Men, David Ewalt recounts the development of Dungeons & Dragons from the game’s roots on the battlefields of ancient Europe, through the hysteria that linked it to satanic rituals and teen suicides, to its apotheosis as father of the modern video-game industry. As he chronicles the surprising history of the game’s origins (a history largely unknown even to hardcore players) and examines D&D’s profound impact, Ewalt weaves laser-sharp subculture analysis with his own present-day gaming experiences.

Hit Points Restored to my Adventurer Spirit
Reviewed: 04-11-20
Haven't played in 15 years or more. Used to run a large campaign however it became hard to find players for the version and life kept getting in the way for routine play scheduling.
Listening to this made me want to pull out the books and play in or DM a new game using the new version (which one of my old players gave me a set to try and get me back to playing but have not really looked at yet)
Just enough fantasy game story telling mixed with a little real life adventure and Dungeon and Dragons game historical information to make it a fun read.
i am even thinking of going through it again before starting another audiobook.

Story
All sorcerers are evil. Elisabeth has known that as long as she has known anything. Raised as a foundling in one of Austermeer’s Great Libraries, Elisabeth has grown up among the tools of sorcery - magical grimoires that whisper on shelves and rattle beneath iron chains. If provoked, they transform into grotesque monsters of ink and leather. She hopes to become a warden, charged with protecting the kingdom from their power. Then an act of sabotage releases the library’s most dangerous grimoire.

nice. Was not a repeat of the original story. Had enough new ideas and action to keep the story moving and the tension at a level to make you not miss anything or skip ahead.

Story
The world will end on Saturday. Next Saturday. Just before dinner, according to The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch, the world's only completely accurate book of prophecies, written in 1655. The armies of Good and Evil are amassing and everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan. Except that a somewhat fussy angel and a fast-living demon are not actually looking forward to the coming Rapture. And someone seems to have misplaced the Antichrist.

great story but editing or reader would lose place

Overall excellent Fun story. (Video was better due to being able to follow scene changes better) I had to go back several times. seemed switching between locations, time, and characters would run into each other and i would try and figure out what was happening which would distract from the story. seemed reader was hard to tell at time which character was speaking which when ran into a scene shift caused me to have to back up and listen harder for the shift.

Laugh out loud good

Several times I had others giving me funny looks as I would let out a giggle or outright laugh as I was listening with my earbuds.
Wonderfully entertaining. Will look forward to listening again. Very Fun listen
Definitely, no heavy thinking or subject matter to bring it down.
For comparison: The main character "the queen" reminded me often of the red queen in the Jonny Depp 2010 Alice in Wonderland. Will warn that it is Adult content in nature and I wouldn't recommend listening where children can listen in.

Cute story a bit slow
Reviewed: 01-28-19
This seemed to be a cute story but i found it a bit slow.
i liked the storyline but think it had more potential than it made use of.
one of those stories that i was glad i completed but i will not reread a second time. to be honest it might have been better for someone that this was their preferred style. I lean toward the epic fantasy adventures
