Story
After the death of her adoptive mother, Ava Saunders comes upon a peculiar photograph, sealed and hidden away in a crawl space. The photo shows a shuttered, ramshackle house on top of a steep hill. On the back, a puzzling inscription: Destiny calls us. Ava is certain that it's a clue to her elusive past. Twenty-three years ago, she'd been found wrapped in a yellow blanket in the narthex of the Holy Saviour Catholic Church - and rescued - or so she'd been told. Her mother claimed there was no more to the story.

There really wasn't any suspense to this story, but if you like a murder set in the back country this book was pretty good. It is written in a style similar to Walt Longmire books and in parts I reminded of similarities between the two series.

Wow this was amazing. It's a story set in a part of Europe that is steeped in creepy legends and you are left filling in the blanks of this thriller. There are plenty of twists and mystery. I had no idea where the author was going to take me. This definitely the best book I have read by this author so far.

I had never heard of this book, until just recently. I was pleasantly surprised to find it. I had such a great time listening to this title. A. A. Milne was an amazing author. Such talent is rare. He so well known for his children's books and I wish everyone knew about this title.

Never a doubt. Never a mistake. Always for justice. Never for revenge. She's the person you hire when you need something fixed-permanently. With a strict set of criteria, she evaluates every request and chooses only a few. No more than one job per country, per year. She will only step in if it's clear that justice will not be served any other way. Her jobs are completed with skill and precision, and never result in inquiry or police investigation. The Fixer is invisible - and quite deadly.

Story
The grizzly is one of North America's few remaining large predators. Their range is diminished, but they're spreading across the West again. Descending into valleys where once they were king, bears find the landscape they'd known for eons utterly changed by the new most dominant animal: humans. In searing detail, award-winning writer, Montana rancher, and conservationist Bryce Andrews tells us about one such grizzly. Millie is a typical mother: strong, cunning, fiercely protective of her cubs. But raising those cubs becomes ever harder as the climate warms and people crowd the valleys.

I just had to get this book, after I read what it was about. It is interesting to find out efforts made to protect the lives of grizzly bears. The story of Millie is interesting and sad. Bears may not always be popular but they are amazing and I really hope they find a way to survive in spite of us.
