More Questions Than Answers

[NO SPOILERS]
Before picking up the novel, Though not needed, I recommend reading a summary of the events occurring in "Gathering Storm: Rise of the Primarch" as this novel does take place shortly after those events and gives some context to the beginnings of the novel.
If you are expecting to find out who"s under the cowl of Cypher, then you are sadly mistaken. This book creates more questions than it does answers. With an untrustworthy but compelling narrator and the slow unraveling of the story, at no point does the book feel uninteresting or boring. Every step of the way, you will question and attempt to piece together what is or will happen throughout the story.
The biggest question being Cypher himself and what exactly his goal is, with the novel giving a major hint to what that may be. There will be parts in the story which may leave you wondering why it was written in the first place, however, as the story unfolds, you will understand why.
Overall, I highly recommend giving this novel a listen as it gives a hint into Cypher"s plans and actions as well as an extremely interesting story which leaves you actively listening. Jon Rand is a spectacular narrator and does his job well and I can"t wait to see what he narrates next. Pick this one up if you get the chance.

A Must-Listen for Warhammer 40k fans

[MINOR SPOILERS]
Needless to say, this is a must-listen to fans of the Lion and Warhammer 40k in general. The Lion makes his return to the setting in a way that is unexpected but not unwelcome.
The story primarily focuses on the return of the Lion and how he reacts to the current setting and the opposition he is forced to face. You are able to not only see the inner-thoughts and reflections of the Lion, but his growth as well. It was great seeing how the Lion reacted to the state of the imperium and the overall galaxy.
It is also extremely interesting to see how the Fallen plays into the story as well. Not to get into
major spoilers, however, it was intriguing to know that not all of the Fallen were necessarily traitors to the emperor and the imperium.
Overall, this is a must-listen for all Warhammer 40k fans as it provides great insight in the mind of the Lion and the Fallen as well as how an event such as his return might shape the galaxy.
