Amy Harmon channels her characters like a psychic! She is incredible at weaving a story and gently pulling you into her world and before you know it, you cannot put it down. The narrator, Rob Shapiro, is phenomenal and narrates several of Ms Harmon’s books. I shed real tears, and I do not so that easily. Bravo 👏

Very good character development and story arcs. The male narrator is fabulous. If it’s 18th century Jacobite history you’re looking for, you have found it. Cannot wait to start the next book in this series.

I did like the premise and was okay with not knowing until the last chapter what was happening. But in the last 5 minutes of the narration…pretty good then a bit disappointing.

I especially liked the narrator. The dynamic between the sisters unfolded nicely. I could really picture the bookshop in its developing stages. Really loved that it took place in Edinburgh. All the supporting characters added to the story very well. Heartwarming and funny. Yes, I recommend.

Each time a start an Amy Harmon book I wonder where it will take me. Then, 2 or 3 chapters in, I’m hooked. Then I buckle in for the ride knowing there will be twists and turns and surprises along the way. And they all came…right up to the very end. And, unexpectedly, I filled up with tears at the end ❤️
