Story
Rachel Armstrong has a burning need to right the world’s wrongs. Thus, she becomes the Avenging Angel. And maybe she’s a bit too cocky about it. While riding a hunch about the identity of a kidnapper, she runs into Julien “Cap” Jackson, who was trained by the team at Nightingale Investigations in Denver. Now he’s a full-fledged member at their newly opened Phoenix branch. It takes Cap a beat to realize Raye’s the woman for him. It takes Raye a little longer (but just a little) to figure out how she feels about Cap.

Dear John Conroe,
I am a devoted fan of the god touched series. it is a great series and I just want you to know how much it means to me. but we need to have a discussion. This narrator that was chosen for this book and for one other previous book ( same narrator ) is simply terrible.
I am aware that you may not have much in the way of influence over who is chosen, but really Anyone can do a better job than this narrator. Please do not ruin another good book with this narrator.

Story
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

love the story progression. I still am not a fan of Logan Grant. I also felt it was a disingenuous to have REI decide to trust Logan Grant. yes I know as a team he needed to let them know, but... before someone can be forgiven they need to recognize they are wrong first! And even if you do forgive them that does not mean you trust them!!!
the decision to have parameter tests in private seems correct but not a complete solution. The moment REI goes back to regular training EVERYONE is going to see his CAD! The rumors are going to spread even faster.

love the series but... I think Declan should be furious with Tanya, Chris and Stacia and Caeco
1) Chris/Grim attached Declan....yes I know the reason but it was the wrong way to handle that situation. it was in fact the worst way to handle it. if it wasn't for Declan' s love and loyalty to Chris and Declan's constant doubt of himself that scene could have ended badly.
2)
Stacia choking Declan into unconsciousness when he was protecting her! it is nice and neat for him to instantly forgive and forget but.... Declan should have had serious trust issues with Satcia...including wondering if she really just chose Chris over him.... and maybe he was second choice in her heart.
3) you do not ever take someone else's DNA and research them without their expressed consent!!!!!!!!! This is a big one. And they gave the research to Dr Jenson and Caeco. The same person who has violated Declans trust in her over and over again. She is angry with him because SHE broke up with him and he found someone else.! Declan and his family risked their lives and protected them. In return Caeco violated any trust loyalty or friendship she and Declan had. Then for Tanya and Chris to fund them on his DNA....it is a complete betrayal.
