Story
Francis and Jesus is the story of how the poor and humble St. Francis of Assisi gave away all to gain all, sharing in God's kingdom on Earth. Francis' life exemplifies what it means to be a genuine disciple of Jesus, walking in Christ's footsteps to show how ultimate truth is lived in small, unique ways. Franciscan Father Murray Bodo takes us on the journey with Francis, as we see his pain, his suffering, his dying to self. On that difficult road we are reminded that death to self creates new life....

Story
In 1962, the young Eugene Rose - the future Hieromonk Seraphim - undertook to write a monumental chronicle of the abandonment of truth in the modern age. Of the hundreds of pages of materials he compiled for this work, only the present essay, on nihilism, has come down to us in completed form. Here Eugene reveals the core of all modern thought and life - the belief that all truth is relative - and shows how this belief has been translated into action in our era. Today, more than half a century after he wrote it, this essay is more timely than ever.

This is not from a pop-politic perspective. Rather, this is a well articulated explanation of the follies of liberalism. Father Seraphim Rose explains the progression of a person from liberalism to ultimately nihilism. Someone can start out well-meaning but will still arrive at Nihilism when they turn away from God. You can see these patterns very clearly in today’s world.

Only two in 10 Americans under 30 believe attending a church is important or worthwhile. Well over half of young adults raised in the Church have dropped out, with many having a strong anti-Church stance, many even believing the Church does more harm than good. Fr. Josh Johnson was one of these people. In Broken and Blessed, he tackles the harsh realities facing the Church in the 21st century.

Story
Marcantonio Colonna's The Dictator Pope has rocked Rome and the entire Catholic Church with its portrait of an authoritarian, manipulative, and politically partisan pontiff. Occupying a privileged perch in Rome during the tumultuous first years of Francis' pontificate, Colonna was privy to the shock, dismay, and even panic that the reckless new pope engendered in the Church's most loyal and judicious leaders.

This was a very interesting book on the corruption of the current Pope Francis. Yeah, yeah, I know, papal infallibility… but Pope Francis is so obviously beneath the seat of a Pope. This book provided many, many examples of his corruption and the damage he caused.
