Story
Lee Gulliver never thought she’d find herself living on the streets—no one ever does—but when her restaurant fails, and she falls deeper into debt, she leaves her old life behind with nothing but her clothes and her Toyota Corolla. In Seattle, she parks in a secluded spot by the beach to lay low and plan her next move—until early one morning, she sees a sobbing woman throw herself into the ocean. Lee hauls the woman back to the surface, but instead of appreciation, she is met with fury.

Female narrator mis- pronounced Tagalog repeatedly. Which was very annoying. Story was good, kept me interested.

Story
Iris Collins is the messy one in her family—the chaos bunny. Her sisters are all wildly successful while she can't balance her budget for a single month. It's no wonder she's in debt to her roommates. When she unexpectedly inherits a house from her great aunt, her plan to turn it into a B&B fails—as most of her plans do. She winds up renting rooms like a Victorian spinster, collecting other lost souls...and not all of them are human.

Story line was ok, descriptions and dialogue very predictable
Reviewed: 12-17-23
It was supernatural, but not enough to be good. Everything was predictable, dialogue was flat and contrived. Just a mediocre book. Sorry

Story
Police Chief Nash Morgan is known for two things: Being a good guy and the way his uniform accentuates his butt. Two bullets put a dent in that Southern charm but—thankfully—spared his spectacular rear end. He’s got his hands full with the man who shot him still on the loose, healing wounds, and citizens who think of the law as more of a “guideline”. Throw in the gloomy mood that clings to him, and the last thing he needs is a smart-mouthed, gorgeous new neighbor making him feel things he doesn’t have the energy to feel.

It’s been months since the crash. K-9 search-and-rescue worker Bree Nicholls knows the chances of finding her husband and son in the vast wilderness of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula grow more remote by the day. But her heart and her faithful dog, Samson, demand she keep searching. Deep in the woods a young boy wakes in a tiny cabin. He’s being nursed back to health by a reclusive woman, but he can’t figure out why she calls him by a name he doesn’t recognize. Or why she’s calling herself his mother. He wants to leave, but as winter sets in, his very life depends on her care.

It’s a Christian book, more than a thriller
Reviewed: 05-22-23
It was a thriller, but a story pushing Christianity. Not what I was expecting. The dialogue was quite forced too
