Story
Claire and Matt are no longer together but decide that it would be best for their daughter, Scarlett, to have a "normal" family Christmas. They can’t agree on whose idea it was to go to the Happy Forest holiday park or who said they should bring their new partners. But someone did - and it’s too late to pull the plug. Before you know it, their holiday is a powder keg that ends where this novel begins - with a tearful, frightened call to the police.

Story
They may be twins, but Lizzie and Penny Berry are complete opposites. Penny is the life of the party, while quiet and thoughtful Lizzy is often left out of the crowd. The one trait they do share is a longing to do something spectacular with their lives, and as far as these two are concerned, there’s no better place to make their dreams come true than London. Presented with a once-in-a-lifetime house-sit at their grandmother’s home in a desirable London neighborhood, it finally seems Lizzie and Penny are a step closer to the exciting cosmopolitan life they’ve always wanted.

Love all her books, but wish she didn’t talk so much about fat people
Reviewed: 03-27-23
Her books would be just as charming and entertaining if she didn’t bash fat people at every opportunity it’s honestly sort of odd how consistent of a trend in her novels it is

Story
Spending her thirtieth birthday alone is not what dating columnist Cleo Wilder wanted, but she plans a solo retreat―at the insistence of her boss―in the name of re-energizing herself and adding a new perspective to her column. The remote Irish island she’s booked is a far cry from London, but at least it’s a chance to hunker down in a luxury cabin and indulge in some self-care while she figures out the next steps in her love life and her career.

Characters sort of annoying
Reviewed: 03-10-23
The title doesn’t make sense but I could get past that. The characters are unnecessarily mean to each other at the beginning and then suddenly falling for each other in a way that just doesn’t feel all that believable. They’re not particularly likable characters

Just not particularly well written, the plot line of Alix makes it seem like something super dramatic happened when in reality it's not a big deal at all, tried really hard to finish it but couldn't
