Story
Three years ago, I fell truly, madly, deeply in love. It was kind of hard not to when Cash Denton, the sexiest man alive, literally ran into me on the streets of Bordeaux, France, and kissed me. Best. Meet. Cute. Ever. That led to the best two months of my life. Or . . . so I thought, until Cash disappeared into thin air. At first, I assumed he was in a coma or had amnesia after a tragic accident, since there’s no way he would have left me. But that was just wishful thinking because, you guessed it, he ghosted me with a capital G.

Story
A woman does her very best to avoid at least one of the following people in her life: an annoying coworker, her brother’s best friend, and her first kiss. Unfortunately, for me, all three happen to be the same person—Brandon Cassidy. I’ve done my best to avoid the man, even if it means working in the ladies’ room whenever he visits the main office. Sadly, my days of hiding are coming to an end because I’ve been assigned to assist Brandon through the end of the year. The holiday season is already hard for me, but this . . . this is just the icing on the fruitcake that is my life.

He's Hollywood's biggest star. She wouldn't know him from the pizza delivery guy. I'm a wildlife biologist in a tiny mountain town, not some kind of law-breaking celebrity stalker. At least not on purpose. It was an accident when I wandered onto the property of one of Hollywood's hottest movie stars. Five minutes ago, I'd never even heard of Flint Hawthorne. I definitely didn't know he lives in Silver Creek.

I loved this entire series. So well written and the narrators are great. My only complaint is that FMC’s narrator smacks SO MUCH. It kind of drives me crazy. This could be fixed in post production. But otherwise I love her narration.

Story
So . . . I signed up for something. Not a gym or Costco membership, which probably would have been wiser. Oh no, I signed up for a social experiment. You heard me right. I, Lanie Davenport, am going to be the subject of a scientific study. Do I know what this study is for? Not exactly. But I know it means I have to live with a stranger for twelve weeks and do a video diary once a week, answering the researchers’ questions.

Story
Eve Hatch lives for surprises! Just kidding. She expects every tomorrow to be pretty much the same as today. She loves her cozy apartment in Brooklyn that’s close to her childhood best friend Willa, and far from her midwestern, traditional family who has never really understood her. While her job is only dream-adjacent, it’s comfortable and steady. She always knows what to expect from her life . . . until she finds herself expecting after an uncharacteristic one-night stand.

Did not love the main character, she had some SUPER annoying quirks and I couldn’t relate. The narrator was fantastic. Will look for more books narrated by her. Will probably not read a book by this author again.

Love this story so much! So new and fresh and swoony. I loved all the history too. Very well written! I think I liked this one more than the first book, and I loved the first book, so that saying a lot.
My only complaint is the narration. The narrator is good, however, whoever produced this cut off the S sounds on many of the words. I’m guessing there were complaints that the narrator smacked in the last book of the series. She did, but the fact that by removing the smacking they also removed a lot of the S sounds at the end of her sentences, was more frustrating to me. This should not be a one-button-fixes-all situation. Please get a better producer!

According to the dating service I work for, Zander, fellow matchmaker and self-proclaimed eternal bachelor, and I are statistically improbable. One would think this would make me avoid him like the plague. But no, for some reason I can’t stop thinking about the arrogant man and his gorgeous green eyes that have a way of seeing right through me. To make matters more interesting, Zander approaches me with an unusual proposition. He’s in need of a fake girlfriend. My first thought is, absolutely not. A word of advice? Never fall in love with an Englishman in New York. If you do, chances are that he’ll captivate your soul and never let you go. Take me, for instance. For the last thirteen years, I’ve heard “So This Is Love” on repeat every time I think of Simon Harrison. If this is love, it kind of sucks. Especially given that Simon only ever saw me as his friend before proceeding to marry my supposed best friend.

With ailing family to support, Evie Sage's employment status isn't just important, it's vital. So when a mishap with Rennedawn's most infamous Villain results in a job offer—naturally, she says yes. No job is perfect, of course, but even less so when you develop a teeny crush on your terrifying, temperamental, and undeniably hot boss. Don't find evil so attractive, Evie. But just when she's getting used to severed heads suspended from the ceiling and the odd squish of an errant eyeball beneath her heel, Evie suspects this dungeon has a huge rat . . . and not just the literal kind.

Fun story
Reviewed: 04-04-24
Story was fun and fast-paced, but I had a hard time keeping focus while listening because of the narrator. The weird pauses and the strange inflection that made no sense was off-putting. For example, The Villain, responding to his assistant telling him no, said “Oh no?” at one part and the narrator literally read it as “Oh no.” I could tell what was meant by the context and I rolled my eyes. This is like narration 101. There were also mistakes either in the book or from the narrator - either way, all should have been caught and fixed by a decent producer. Hoping they find someone different for the next book.
