Story
Two places I never thought I'd be: a church and my little brother's funeral. I was the one who was supposed to die first. Not Hayes. He hadn't chosen my path. I took lives but Hayes had wanted to save souls. Yet here I was drinking from a flask, around people that hated me, unable to take my eyes off the fiancé he'd left behind.

Lovin' this series
Reviewed: 06-28-24
Although this is a romance story formula I have observed before, the fascination lies in how the author chooses to create the plots and turns of the story. I was unable to put this story down.

I encourage you to read all 5 books within the series. They all fit very nicely together and give you that good happy feeling of love everlasting. Spoiler alert — my only Concern was the quick resolution to the issue with the Parents. The resolution felt rushed and unrealistic but nevertheless supported that Feeling of love everlasting Or love conquering all.

Shaw gives off a dangerous vibe that makes men wary and inspires women to sit up and take notice. None feel that undercurrent more strongly than savvy businesswoman Jordie, who doesn't belong in a seedy dive on the banks of a bayou. But here she is...and Shaw Kinnard is here to kill her.
