Too preachy

It started as a decent story. Then descended into preachy political pablum. The speeches by the characters get more and more boring and meandering as the book goes on. I This book was recommended by a person I consider a mentor. I won't hold this against him.

This story is good. But, it's poorly organized. He tells interesting stories of his life. But, they are not in chronological order, which makes it hard to follow. Big chucks of his life are also missing or mentioned only in passing ie. He has a Bronze Star but, never talks about how he got it. He has a Southern Mississippi accent that takes a minute to adjust too. Reminds me of the football/baseball player Bo Jackson who is from southern Alabama.

The Icahn story is fascinating and worth learning. This reader, who is the author, makes that difficult. He should have spent the money on a professional! He has a terrible voice, pauses in the wrong places and mis pronounced names and other words.

Only the opening few minutes is specifically about network marketing. The rest is the book Think and Grow Rich. Which is a great book. But, you get just get that book (original 1937 text) and skip this.

If you listened Can't Hurt Me, you will enjoy this book. If you haven't, go listen to Can't Hurt Me! Not as intense as the first book. But, just as full of valuable lessons we can apply to our own lives - and Goggins gives us the techniques he uses. We can use them even if we don't want to do the things Goggins does. I listened to this is one stretch on a long drive.

Every successful person in MLM I know has listened to this audio. It's sometimes referred to as The Seed and the Sower. Eric Worre says he listened to it "hundreds of times". If we want to be leaders in MLM we should too. I will. Probably have about 20 listens so far. Everything else you read/listed to about MLM success can be traced back to this audio.

Her life story is amazing and inspirational. However, she never mentions Barry Rand. The first Black person in the C suite at Xerox. A huge omission. Second, it's a little too political at times and it gets away from her personal story. Third, she is not a good narrator. It will take you a while to get used to it. It's still worth a listed. But, it could have been much better.

This is mostly a series of stories Gary tells about people that have deployed the Crush It philosophy he discusses in this first book. Listen to that book instead - it's excellent.

This book was written for the author. Not the audience. Michael Elliot had a lot of childhood trauma and this program was a way he helped deal with some of it. But, it falls well short if you want to learn about how he built his businesses and career. I hope he does full autobiography. That would be well worth reading.

There are quite a few good ideas to help you grow your MLM business. The target is women biz builders. But, anyone can apply the learnings here. There are a few four letter words. Though I did not find it gratuitous. She is pretty real about the level of effort you will need and makes it clear that there is no magic bullet. Bottom line - you will get some ideas you can use right away in your biz no matter what level you are at now.
