Because I started the series
Reviewed: 03-16-19
At this point the only reason I’m still listening to the series is because I like to finish what I start. This book was ok but certainly not something I would recommend.

Real page turner

This will surely be on my book clubs list of 'Best Books Ever'. The story grabbed my attention from the very beginning. The details were unnerving but necessary. I live in Atlanta and felt like this could easily be a true story. Just know that you won't be able to put this book down. You probably won't sleep well some nights after reading.

While this is not a story full of thought provoking ideas or interesting fact, it is very entertaining. Funny and a quick listen.

Story
Mary B. Addison killed a baby. Allegedly. She didn't say much in that first interview with detectives, and the media filled in the only blanks that mattered: a white baby had died while under the care of a churchgoing black woman and her nine-year-old daughter. The public convicted Mary, and the jury made it official. But did she do it?

Story
Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in "The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas". As her family lay dying, little Libby fled their tiny farmhouse into the freezing January snow. She lost some fingers and toes, but she survived, and famously testified that her 15-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who've long forgotten her.
