Sometimes one does not realize how much (what I refer to as) "stinkin-thinkin" one has until you hear or read a book like this. Joel Osteen seems to surgically scrape out much of the erroneous mindset we carry everyday which hurt us and keep us at times from progressing in life. If you get this book, I guarantee you will not help but to feel like there is nothing that you can"t do. You will be freed from things you never knew were holding you down. Whether its self-doubt, low self-esteem, unforgiveness, selfishness, or whatever. It will help you! Get it! That is, if you want to live a better and fulfilling life.

Raw and Real!
Reviewed: 12-15-05
Having grown up in a city and amidst some irreputable characters, I certainly loved the realness and rawness of this audiobook. The crime aspect is entertaining enough, but the narration in that NY brogue makes you feel like you are living the story through the author"s eyes. Get it - you will not be disappointed. Great mob vs. police stuff.

Get it! Enough Said!

Ok, the author provides his account in a witty manner with a tinge of comical ingenuity. It is easy to understand and follow, narration is great, and I like his almost encylopedic facts about our existence. You are never bored and after each portion of info, you are left with the desire to hear more. I think he did a great job of capsulating many compex factors of our coming to being into a pretty understandable format. If you are an astronomy enthusiast, creationsist, evolutionist, sci-fi buff, or what have you, you will enjoy this audiobook. I would even go further and say that if you are not, you will still enjoy it.

Story
In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

Well- to keep it short and sweet - great narration, great introduction on Jung ideas and research (and comparison to his eventual nemesis Freud). Any layperson interested in psychoanalysis will not be disappointed by this audiobook. It will probably spark an interest in buying further books on Jung and or Freud.

With the sweep and vitality of a great novel, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David McCullough presents the enthralling story of John Adams. This is history on a grand scale - an audiobook about politics, war, and social issues, but also about human nature, love, religious faith, virtue, ambition, friendship and betrayal, and the far-reaching consequences of noble ideas. Read by History Channel host Edward Herrmann!

David McCullough does a tremendous job in bringing back to life such a wonderful individual who would later become the President of the United States. John Adams was much more of a pivotal figure in the founding of our great country than I have ever imagined. I particulary liked how the author delved into Adam"s personal life, thoughts, letters, and relationships. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and if anyone has the smallest of interest in history, you will certainly enjoy this book. I highly recommend it.

A friend raved about this book. Not being much of a business man, I payed little attention until slowly I began to be intrigued by the principles spoken of as reported by my friend.
So I decided to get the book and man, was I amazed. Some of the descriptions of people caught in the "rat race" hit too close to home. It was me he was describing. It brought a great awareness and, I can honestly say, a sense of deliverance and purpose to get out of the rat race.
For someone who is living paycheck to paycheck, with credit card debt, mortgages, car payments, etc. this book is definitely for you. It will open your eyes to certain things that will shatter and dispel beliefs carried on from generations past.
I recommend it. Very highly!
If your looking to for a 10 step how to get rich quick book, this book is not for you. But if you want to learn some enlightening principles and truths on financial stewardship, then get this book. You will not regret it.
