Story
I desire revenge. And I’ll risk death for his touch… The mere brush of his fingers along my skin sends shivers up my spine. I never thought I’d fall for an alpha like Holden, and I can’t decide who I hate more—Holden for murdering my brother, or myself for the way my body reacts to him. I told him I’d die before competing in this outdated competition. There’s already nineteen other women determined to become the alpha’s mate. And they’re prepared to fight to the death for Holden. The only reason I’m here is my pack wants me gone. It’s this or exile, and I won’t risk ...

Bachelor meets werewolves. Story drags on in the middle while the ladies slowly get eliminated. By the end of the story I start to question if they should even be together because of how insecure and childish they are.

Story
When the fae King of Storms and Feathers purchases me, I vow to escape his palace of dust and gold, reclaim my memories, and return to the home that haunts my visions—a city of ruins in the decaying forests of the human realm. In the meantime, I’ll pretend to be what King Arrowyn wants—an obedient green-eyed bird, chained and powerless, his for the taunting and taking. But when I escape and fall into viler clutches, Arrow hunts me down, determined to retrieve his disobedient, most valued possession.

The relationship between the FMM and MMC was a bit strange. It ranged from a bit assaulty to golden retriever. Felt like character development was sacrificed for spice.

Ridiculously charming, a total player and a hockey super star . . . Reed Davidson has been the boy next door who's had my heart for as long as I can remember. He was the ultimate bad boy, and I was just his sister's shy best friend. But when Reed's world is suddenly flipped upside down and he gets custody of his nephew, I'm the only one who can help.

A lot of the plot points are way over simplified and don’t make much sense when you think about it. Got the ick from the little sister, she’s a controlling little tyrant.

It feels like the story is just getting started by the time it ends. Tries to be very spice positive, but feels forced and over the top. Could be an interesting story to tell under all of the innuendo.
Not sure that I would bother buying the next book.

Lots of basic tropes used.
Enemies to lovers
Forced marriage
Beauty and the beast
Needs more world building to better explain magic and magical beings. Some of the dialogue is cringy.
Overall, an average book, don’t regret buying, but won’t come back to frequently.

Story
For the past 10 years I’ve been a victim. A victim to my pack. A victim to my true mate, who rejected me in the most brutal of ways. And a victim to Shadow Beast, who used me for his own gains. Or did he? The beast of mystery never reveals his whole hand, but one thing is for sure...in my time with him, I've changed. Now I will no longer walk the path dictated by the powerful men in my life. Never again will I let my strength be taken from me. I must evolve or die. And we all know, with a choice like that, there’s really only one answer.

Interesting story. Honestly one of the better shifter series plots. If you liked the first book you’ll like this too.
Book one and two should have been combined to creat a better story arch. Much more “action” than the first book.

Story
As a wolf shifter growing up in a strong pack, I should be living my best life. But after my father tried to kill our leader, I’m labelled an outcast, traitor, less than dirt. When I can't take pack life any longer, I run, but apparently they don't like losing their punching bag. Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift...a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

Great ideas needs more editing
Reviewed: 09-15-22
It’s honestly an intriguing story line, but execution needs some polish.
The dialogue and self reflection is a bit much. Lots of f**ks and talking about how big and bad she is. She also talks about her reaction to others and the dialog a lot. Feels like padding out a book.
The first two books should have really been edited down to one. If you combine them the story arch is pretty good. Great moment in the third book where the main character talks about her love of cliff hangers.
I do prefer one narrator, or switching narrators based on the chapter perspective. The switching between voices is a bit much.
