Story
For high-powered personal injury attorney Noah Byron, the good things in life come with a price tag - cars, houses, women. That's why he represents only cases that come with the possibility of a nice cut of the action. But as a favor to his ex-wife, he meets with the mother of twelve-year-old Joel, a boy poisoned by tainted children's medicine. While the official story is that a psycho tampered with bottles, the boy's mother believes something much more sinister is at work...and the trail leads right back to the pharmaceutical company.

This story is so over done and a C- version of the good old fashion Erin Brockovich trope. I rolled my eyes at least once every chapter.

Author gave up on the last quarter of the book
Reviewed: 04-24-18
This was one of the most unique books I’ve ever read but 3/4ths of the way through the author just gave up on the story and phoned it in. Like he just got over the writing project and wanted to finish the book and get it out. Maybe there was a looming deadline and he just wrapped it up and said ok I’ll deal with the rest of it on the sequel. The last 25% was so disappointing. It was as if it was written by a different person.

Frustrating
Reviewed: 04-07-18
If I was this mother I would sit the girl down and have her tell me everything in full and exactly what she means. This was frustrating because the girl had all the answers and was talking in riddles and the mother was too flustered to just get the info out of her. The detective was incompetent and I was annoyed how everyone was ignoring the main issues and focusing on small details. This was completely unbelievable because in real life everyone can’t be this dumb. Also the narrator doing the detectives part, especially as the detective kept saying “Veronica” was like nails in a chalk board.

Doesn’t make sense.
Reviewed: 03-28-18
This book was frustrating and predictable. People’s motivations and decision making are not realistic. If the rich guy wanted everyone to hate Gwen then why would he admit the video was “probably fake” and they did the same thing to his son? Why say that? Being that he said that why in the world does Sam not believe her when she said it’s not her. None of this makes sense. Why is Connor such a little shit? I was rooting for him to die. The kids were never in any real danger. There was no sense of urgency. This whole premise is so ridiculous. Ending was predictable.
