Marriage or war. There are no other options. Kalina has her throne, finally, and her people have their long-sought-after peace. But that peace is short-lived, when an old enemy resurfaces, threatening everything she has fought so hard to attain. Trapped in a foreign court, surrounded by enemies, Kalina must decide the fate of her people as well as her own future before it’s too late. Love is at stake, lives will be lost. This is the stunning conclusion to the Valdir Chronicles, full to the brim with adventure, intrigue, and, of course, dragons.

After listening to the story, I’m hooked. My new favorite author. You should listen or read ‘Born of stone’ first. It will help you understand what’s going on. This is a coming of age story. I’m not going to go into what going what the story is about in detail. This story will make you smile and laugh and cry. The narrator did such a amazing job.
