An Amazing Part 2
Reviewed: 09-15-21
Honestly, the book was a pleasant continuation from the original first story. both Tyler and Ian have grown a lot in such a short amount of time and this story really is an amazing continuation of their journey. without giving too many spoilers, they're happily ever after is achieved but with some twists and turns that I believe every reader would find unexpected. moving from that point, I feel as though the author has definitely given these characters a lot of depth and The storyline definitely leaves more to be told. I hope the story of Tyler and Ian continue because I feel as though they have so much more to give. that being said the narrators as always did an amazing job and if this is your first audiobook with JF Harding you will not be disappointed! Also, Jack Dupont is an amazing pairing for Harding and the chemistry between both narrators is felt in the first story as well as this one.

Definitely Worth the Buy!

I'll start off saying that I definitely loved this story! I'm not the type to consistently write reviews on books that I listen to, but I do leave a rating.
Although, the narration coupled with the interesting plot was definitely worth the listen. I enjoyed the fact that there were numerous characters introduced and the story even if their impact was minuscule. it was a happy ending with some realistic plot points that I thought definitely shaked up the norm of your typical romance novel.
if you're looking for a book that you can listen to again after some time away, this is something for a rainy day or a midsummer afternoon. The cowboy finds love troupe is definitely not dead, and comes alive in an interesting point of view from our author. would love to see a sequel with different contestants. Definitely a five star experience from beginning to end!

Story
"Cody Davis is gonna make a sinner out of me." Yes, I know exactly who he is. The wounded soldier at the end of Willow Street. Intimidating. Devastatingly handsome. Muscular body chiseled from stone. Deep dark eyes that dare you to come near. Attitude for days. And I just became his caregiver. Everyone warned me to stay away from him - including my father, the respected minister of our small town of Spruce. But clearly, I'm too stubborn to heed good advice, especially when Cody Davis is as frustratingly attractive - and persistent - as they come.

Great Read

I will definitely say that this book was a great read. What I think is most valuable about the book is that the relationship seems organic not forced.
I think it's really important that we highlight that you can be attracted to someone, but that doesn't mean you'll end up in a relationship them. And I think for the two characters Cody and Trey this is extremely real.
I'm super interested and invested in the relationship because I feels like it seems more authentic the most love stories.
Without saying too much I hope you give this book a chance , you don't have to read the first to get into the second, but book 1 is also something cute to listen to if you have some time.

A lot of S.E...
Reviewed: 10-21-20
Honestly I think it was a really good story, but I feel like a lot of the character development was more so rooted in the sexual tension between both main characters. I love a hot steamy physcal scene just as much as the next person, but I feel that there is actually a lack of character development between the characters. I only compare this storyline to other male for male romances. The plot could have benefited from a little more dialogue building dialogue. I understand that it is important play up the physical scenes as much as possible in a book like this one, but literally the last two chapters of the audio were all just Tate and Logan in bed...like most of the story. An hour worth of dialogue was what took place. For a book this long I expected more understanding out of the characters. Examples being why did Tate initially get divorced, Why is Tate's family so against LGBTQA people, Who really is Chris to Logan, What happened to Logan's Mother and etc. Hopefully the next few books hold more story and less fluff. Overall, an amazing performance read, but the storyline needs more substance for me.

SPOILER REVIEW
Pro: the 1st book seems like it's worth the read
that's really it...
1. The story is kinda boring, the two fall in love rather quickly, but the main issue is the main character only wants to date straight men (which in itself that is a toxic stereotype to promote in the LGBTQA Community)
2. The story touches on adoption and drug addiction but I feel poorly handles it and promotes it as an issue for the impending book three
3. The author casually acknowledges age differences between an 38 year old man and an 18 year old girl as appropriate
I feel as though themes like these should be disclosed ahead of time. Not to say you can't talk/write about these topics, but at least do it well.
Overall I finished the book out of giving the author the benefit of doubt, but I still was dissatisfied by the end.

At this point I'm super invested in their storylines. Please more Wes and JBomb they are super cute. I want to know what happens if Ryan gets traded, a new star rookie joins the team, an injury, or if they decide to have kids. There is so much more to get into! Please keep writing more amazing stories to tell for this awesome couple.

Story
My home is my sanctuary. Or is it my prison? Some days it's hard to tell. I've confined myself behind these walls for protection. I have my reasons, but that doesn't change the profound loneliness I've discovered in the process. Then one day I find myself drifting toward the window to see him. Corey Marshall, my new neighbor. Quiet, reserved, and cute as can be. He infects my thoughts, becomes the image I fantasize about. I want to taste his lips, smell his scent...feel what it's like to be inside him.

Definitely an Emotional Read
Reviewed: 09-09-20
I'll start off with saying that, I am not the kind of person who usually writes review for a book unless I'm really enthralled in it , and this is definitely a story that is a solid one!
I honestly think this is the type of book If you're looking for characters to really root for and fall in love with , you found a great piece of literature to listen to. I think the respect and care the authors give the characters is outstanding, and it makes you question how you interact with those dealing with mental illnesses around you and if you're checking in enough.
10 out of 10 recommend as read, but be ready for an actual story with substance!
