What is Rick Mercer going to do now? That was the question on everyone's lips when the beloved comedian retired his hugely successful TV show after 15 seasons - and at the peak of its popularity. The answer came not long after, when he roared back in a new role as stand-up-comedian, playing to sold-out houses wherever he appeared. And then COVID-19 struck. another great Timothy Zahn novel, expertly read by Marc Thompson

Marc Thompson puts on a fantastic performance, skillfully recreating Zahn's characters through his performance. As one would expect, he story details the rise of Thrawn through the ranks of the Imperial Navy but also that of his aide and confidant, Eli Vanto.

Story
Masters of Doom is the amazing true story of the Lennon and McCartney of video games: John Carmack and John Romero. Together, they ruled big business. They transformed popular culture. And they provoked a national controversy. More than anything, they lived a unique and rollicking American Dream, escaping the broken homes of their youth to produce the most notoriously successful game franchises in history - Doom and Quake - until the games they made tore them apart. This is a story of friendship and betrayal, commerce and artistry.

How To is a guide to the third kind of approach. It's full of highly impractical advice for everything from landing a plane to digging a hole.

the narrator has no idea what he's talking about
Reviewed: 10-03-19
the narrator clearly has no idea about the subject material, mispronouncing many names of people and places that anyone listening to this book will notice. Among these mispronounciations: max Biaggi, ten Kate, Ben spies, Assen, Imola, 'Pierre riba', 'Parc ferm', etc. it's so jarring I can barely finish the book.
for some reason the narration fades in and out at times, the volume level goes up and down to the point that I thought my sleep timer was activating.
narration aside, it's an honest story about an honest racer who has become the force to deal with in superbike.
