It was a mostly predictable storyline, but it was entertaining and sweet. I really enjoyed the voice actors too.

The storyline was cheesy and the narrator was whiny and did not fit the characters. I had planned to read the series, but I’ve changed my mind.

I felt the heart of Lana, the main character, that was only enhanced by the soothing narration. Enjoyed this very much!

Another great story by Sara Ackerman. She has a way of depicting the horrors of war in a way that’s not too heavy while interweaving a good and interesting story.

This was my first time reading this author, so maybe others are better? I hate writing bad reviews, but I just couldn’t get into this book. It developed a couple of characters on the surface but glazed over others that could’ve told a much deeper and more interesting story. And it was really anticlimactic.

I wouldn’t call it a thriller, but it was unique and captivating. Each character giving their own version of the turn of events was an opportunity to reveal crucial facts a little at a time. I really enjoyed this!

The depictions of the Vanderbilts were interesting and encouraged me to read up on their history. I love books that have elements of real history to research. Babs was a wonderful character and I would love to read a book dedicated to her life story.
