A fun fantasy of a rebellious princess. A good group of characters, some who try to be her voice of reason, but also tend to be as curious as she is. I enjoyed listening to the narrator who also help bring the characters to life.

I was so psyched when I listened to this, hearing the story is set in the city I grew up in! I love that these two were destined to be together, being they were both in similar circumstances. It's perfect to listen to when you're looking for a short and steamy romance!

Story
I’ve had a crush on Preston Royce for as long as I can remember. Only, I’ve never told him, or anyone, because he doesn’t see me that way. (And because his sister, Charlie, happens to be my best friend!) But when Preston’s girlfriend breaks his heart, Charlie comes up with a plan to get them back together - a plan that involves Preston and me pretending to date.

Secret Crushes!
Reviewed: 11-04-19
I previously listened to Courtside Crush, which is part of the series this audiobook is in. Each are standalones, so no need to worry about needing to listen to the other to follow along. It was great to hear familiar characters again! This time the story focuses on Charlie's best friend Daria and Charlie's brother, Preston. Daria and Preston are going to pretend to be each others new interest in hopes of it trying to make Preston's ex jealous and win her back. I enjoyed listening to how the whole story played out from start to finish!

Story
So much for senior year being the best part of high school. It all started when I caught my boyfriend cheating on me. I did what any girl would do - I got revenge. Of course, it didn’t stop there. Thanks to a condemning video, I also got eight weeks of community service and athletic probation right before basketball season is supposed to start. (There goes my spot as captain!) Thankfully, there’s a guy at Marlowe Junction’s Helping Hands who makes passing the time more enjoyable.

This reminds me of high school! I was an athlete and crushed on a guy who competed for a different school. Only thing is I wasn't in the same situation as Charlie and Jackson, him being her brother's nemesis on the court. I enjoyed the story and listening to the narrator's interpretation of it!

This is a first for me author and narrator. The author wrote a fun read and the narrator did a great job! This audiobook is book 5 in the Oceanic Dreams series, but each are standalones in the series. I enjoyed listening to this short romcom of this Private Investigator who's spying on a groom to be on a cruise ship. She's not only working, she's making friends and learning what she really wants with her life.

An enjoyable audio for teens and adults!
Reviewed: 06-19-19
This audio took me back to the time I was in my 20s! It takes place in the early 2000s when Blockbusters were everywhere and your cell phone's purpose was just to make calls.
I think many of us when we were young went through the same thing or someone in your circle of friends did. I'm not sure if I'd make the same promise these two girls did to one another, especially if the guy reciprocates the feels back. Every man for himself (or woman, haha!) Overall, I enjoyed listening to this audiobook!

Story
When private investigator Simon Wolfe is hired to follow his friend’s wife under suspicion of adultery, he could never have guessed it would lead him into a friendship with the world’s leading writer, Ernest Hemingway. Nor could he have predicted the strange and disturbing twists the investigation would take. The case accelerates quickly when the wife is found murdered in a Key West hotel and discovered to have a secret life. But that revelation is downright boring as the plot thickens with increasingly bizarre revelations, capped off with a macabre ending no one saw coming.

Mystery and Ernest Hemmingway
Reviewed: 06-15-19
This is the first time I've listen to anything from this author and I enjoyed it! The story takes place around the time Ernest Hemmingway hosts parties and boxing matches at his home. It is fiction, but the storyline is taken from actual events, some of the outcome coming as a surprise. The narrator did a great job with his narration of the story.
