Story
Elizabeth Bennet wants the truth from Mr. Darcy. When she follows him from the ballroom to insist upon it, she becomes an unwilling witness to a scandalous scene. And for once, she cannot blame Mr. Darcy for disdaining his company, not even when he departs Netherfield in the middle of the ball.

Excellent and worth the wait!

i read the book when it was first released and have re-read it at least twice. I was hoping it would get the audio treatment and was so excited to find it! The narration style and the narrators themselves are so well done. I have zero complaints. I am a big fan of the author, and the narrators are two of my favorites. Worth the $/ credit. You will definitely enjoy.

Good story but narrator forced me read instead.

Sad I had to return it.
Narrator has a pleasant voice but reads as if it were a children's story. Every sentence had almost constant inflections that just made no sense to the text.

Story
When Fitzwilliam Darcy meets Miss Elizabeth Bennet, his heart is almost immediately engaged. Seeing the pretty lady before him, a lady of no consequence or fortune, he believes he should not form an attachment to her, unsuitable as such a woman is to be his wife. What he cannot see, however, is the truth. That the simple country girl harbors a secret. Before she meets Darcy, Elizabeth has spent two years hiding from the men who killed her beloved first husband.

Great story but horrible narrator
Reviewed: 12-06-22
Great story but the narrator nearly ruined it for me. Her reading style, unnecessary inflections and the lack of variation for the multiple characters made it almost impossible to get through.

Story
Longbourn estate in Hertfordshire, home of the Bennet family, is entailed. Armed with this unfortunate knowledge, the females of the family have long lived with the threat of eviction from their beloved home should Mr. Bennet pass away before his time. When the unthinkable happens, the Bennet ladies prepare to leave their home as the heir arrives to take control of his inheritance. Salvation comes, however, by the most surprising of news: Mrs. Bennet is with child.

Story
Orphaned and alone in the world, Elizabeth Bennet has found reasonable contentment as a companion to the dowager countess of Matlock, the affairs of 1811 and Fitzwilliam Darcy long forgotten. But the past intrudes upon her again, and Mr. Darcy returns to her, handsome, wealthy, and widowed, and hiding many secrets beneath his solemn exterior. But if time had altered their circumstances, one thing remains: Mr. Darcy still wishes to marry her, and this time, Elizabeth consents.

while I figured the jist of the twist pretty early on I have to say that I really enjoyed this story. The different approach to so many of the characters of the original P&P. This story was so creative. of course, Stevie Zimmerman made it all the better. Definitely recommend.

Story
Did you know the medical term for a butt crack is intergluteal cleft? My name is Reagan, and spouting random facts like this one at inopportune moments is my affliction. I’m chronically awkward, socially inept, and completely lack a filter. Believe it or not, men do not find these attractive traits. When my sexy-as-sin neighbour barges into my apartment at the arse crack of dawn, everything changes.

Loved the characters, story line and absolutely hilarious writing. The narration was perfect! I hope to find more from both the male and female as well as the author. I've read the rest of the Awkward series and I hope the others will soon be available on audio soon.

So even though he’s the man who broke her heart, playing his fiancée shouldn’t be hard, especially if it means she gets to watch the arrogant devil squirm a bit.

I enjoyed the story and characters. My problem lies with the female narrator. NOT a fan. Missed parts of the story because I found myself having to skip her chapters.

Story
I had a plan, and it was solid. Track down what was hidden away and take pleasure in toying with it. Toying with her. That plan, it worked like a charm. Until it didn't. Turned out, the feisty little thing I found was far from what I hoped for. She was different from all I knew and more than I expected. She was light, and I'm the bastard who led her into darkness. But this girl...she followed with a smile. I told her I break pretty things. She asked me to promise.
