Frankly, it's rare when I clip a section of audio for the correlation/allegory therein, but goddamn if that wasn't some good writing that I certainly clipped.

The short and sweet, this was an excellent tenth installment that any fan reaching this far into the story would enjoy.

My more in-depth opinion highlights how well the author disperses power-ups among main/side characters in not only imaginative ways, but in a fashion that allows for a believably complex multiverse involving power structures equally complex to our own.

Good job!

A Plot Well Maintained, Slice-of-life done right

We're all aware of some recent fantasy title releases that have lacked polish. That isn't the case here; we've got ourselves a complete package deal.

The plot doesn't wander off into a tangent, and we've got a storyline that feels organic. Whether it be romantic dialogue or characterizations of sentient plants, it all felt natural - pun intended.

Give this one a try. The how's of magic don't necessarily take center stage, but the end result would attract the attention of any respectable librarian... plants included.

10/10

The animals and surrounding cast really take the cake. all are developed with individuality which coincides with the novel's style. One of the best reads this year.

I enjoyed the story even though I think the plot has drifted in a more romance genre direction. The romantic development felt literally forced by fate which felt awkward for all characters and readers involved. Its ultimately fine, but when the book zeros in on romance counter to the first book's feel, the payout better be a slam dunk. It wasn't this time.

If you're looking for a story with realistic consequences, this may not be for you. Regardless, the story rocks, the humor is on point, and I enjoyed the mockery of harems as ridiculous in general. This is an easy recommendation.

It was a good listen. The main character is a raging white knight, but that's not a bad thing. I enjoyed the fights. The narration and plot were solid too.

There's a ton of works in the genre centered around world building or saving the world. Steamforged Sorcery takes a more traditional approach with an escort plotline that doesn't deviate for silly reasons. Actus sticks to the plan and delivers a solid book with a fun magic system. Give it a go if you're tired of the standard fare.
