No matter the length of Ms Singh's books, they end too soon. The complex, layered world we are offered feels real enough to be disorienting when lifting ourselves out of the story! This is the story of Vienna and Hawk, Walker and Lara. Yay!!!!

You will want to know these people, if you don't already. Here you will meet people who are damaged, but beyond the norm in ability and courage. Fascinating abilities and personalities will be your companions as you read your way through the series. This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

I don't know how she does it. Her characters stay true from novel to novel and series to series. Storylines are varied and fascinating. I really had my doubts about this one going in as the main female character is so annoying but I loved this book! Make certain you read the whole group of books. It's worth it!

The Stories of the Mad Queens

Told by the Queen of Story-Tellers. These two stories are the tales of the queens of the humans and the dragons who inhabit the world created by G. A. Aiken. Filled with humor and romance, treachery and passion, this is the beginning of the series that leaves me howling with laughter and delight as the lives and loves of dragons, humans unfold in all their glory and insanity. This world is also full of magic, centaurs, plotting and scheming, with the occasional god or goddess popping in and out to keep things challenging. When the human world we live in is too dreadful to deal with, remember that things could be worse -- your mother-in-law could be a dragon who thinks of humans as snack-sized morsels who occasionally talk too much.

Though the content is often dark, the story of the Guild Hunters moves forward with Honor and Dimitri finding their way. Incredibly well written, enthralling, and narrated with the depth of understanding for the narrative that leaves the listener thrilled to have a part in this world of Nalini Singh's creation.

In this book, the story of Mags and his compatriots continues. Incredibly well-written, the world of Valdemar continues to fascinate and inform us of our own human nature by showing it in a very different setting.
