The brother character was annoying. Failed to add anything to the story. I would skip the chapters that focused on him

Way too long and over written. How many times did the drug effects have to be described. Why is Ledger's internal monolog so defensive? Who is that for?

The only reason the star wasn't lower because there was an amazing surprise crossover.

The first real dip in quality for the series. The story was poorly plotted and Gail's character transformation is off putting.

The abrupt change of the supporting characters diminished the story. Felt like a soft reboot meaning it covered a lot of similar ground.

Generic plot made even worse by the very obvious twist. Also liking coffee is not an interesting character trait.

Still readable but the worst in the series and the connected series. The stakes were low and everything seemed rushed.

The ideas are intriguing and seem to make sense in an academic setting. The suggestions for real world applications seem Pollyanna.

I'm glad this is the last book in the series. It had become dull. All the fake outs were monotonous. Wish he'd right more Scarecrow books.
