Story
For Michael Stirling, London's most infamous rake, after a lifetime of chasing women, of smiling slyly as they chased him, of allowing himself to be caught but never permitting his heart to become engaged, he took one look at Francesca Bridgerton and fell so fast and hard into love it was a wonder he managed to remain standing. Unfortunately for Michael, however, Francesca's surname was to remain Bridgerton for only a mere 36 hours longer.

Best of Bridgerton

This was my favorite of all the books: it had the most character development and provided a glimpse into the life of someone, who is surrounded by people where everything comes easily. For that reason, I felt it the most real.

Absolutely Marvelous!!

I stumbled across Kate Morton on Audible about 8 months ago and have sought out every book of hers since. This plot is particularly captivating. Multiple times I thought I had it figured out, but Morton surprised me to the very last chapter! The narration is wonderful, too, and enhances Morton’s work beyond what I could read in black and white (although I intend to purchase this in hard copy because I love it so much)! I’ve already sent it to family and friends to be their next reads.

No sooner does Henri sweep Nancy off her feet and convince her to become Mrs. Fiocca than the Germans invade France and she takes yet another name: a code name. As Lucienne Carlier, Nancy smuggles people and documents across the border and earns a new nickname from the Gestapo for her remarkable ability to evade capture: The White Mouse.

I love the readers’ voices for the various characters: they really make the novel come alive. The story is amazing, even more so because there are factual elements. I loved every minute.
