Story
Unsure of the future but ready for risks, Libby O’Dell trades big-city life for whatever the back roads hold. In this case it’s the small community of Sawmill, Texas, where Libby’s taken a temporary job putting an antique store in order. Her new boss, Benny Taylor, a handsome charmer with a three-legged dog named Elvis, isn’t a bad change of scenery, either. Across the street Benny’s surrogate grandmothers—the widows Minilee and Opal—are ready with homemade corn bread, sweet tea, and an invitation for Libby to join their book club.

This one is just as good as the others! I absolutely love Carolyn"s books. And for this type of book that she writes, no one but Britney should read them.

I only listened to it because Britney is one of my favorite narrators. Boy was I surprised!!! This is a great story. Keeps you on edge as to who is doing what. Also, it was funny. I"ll have to look this author up and see what else I"ve been missing.
And if course the narrators were superb!!!!

Story
He has the muscles of Adonis, an ego bigger than the sun, and a very clear desire to get back in my pants. Which would be fantastic if he weren"t a SEAL and I wasn"t a criminal. Although, I prefer the term avenger. I"m a hacktivist, cleaning up the cesspool of cyberspace one scam artist and troll at a time, and I sometimes bend a few rules to get justice done. He"s a military man with abs of glory, sworn to uphold the letter of the law no matter its shortcomings. And if he"d known who - or what - I was, I doubt he would"ve banged me at my best friend"s wedding reception.

Not sure what I expected, but this story well written and very riveting. 2 stories at once are told, her past and her present. It tells Where"s she came from and how she got to where she is, but it all ties in with her present.
The narration was positively awesome. I was able to tell the characters apart easily. Great job!

Great book!

I enjoyed the theme of this book. Broken family, grown bit who has magic, but just enough to do what he needs to do. I love that the author based it in a trailer park and the life of being dirt poor. I love the miniscule of romance too. just enough to keep it interesting.
The narrative was good too. lots of emotion and he did good on the voices, which isn"t easy with a voice that deep. great job!

I love this sweet and spicy story. Reminded me a little of a retelling of Beauty and the Beast but was so much better. It will be awhile before I look at emeralds the same.
The narration was very good. Sometimes it"s hard for a male to do a believable female voice. Great job.
