This is by far my favorite book of the series. I loved everything about both characters, Inexperienced does not mean incompetent in this book. I loved that Sydney may have been a new character in the series, but she was an author discussed and a huge part of other couple's story lines without even knowing. and that Ranger was well... Ranger and just because it was his book, his character and corks did not change.

Bittersweet Promises is the first book in the next generation series of Montgomery Ink. This book revolves around Leif Montgomery and Brooke Alder. These characters have a history from years ago in Paris, but after a misunderstanding found themselves apart for nine years. During this time Brooke became a single mother (not a secret baby story). Brooke moves back to Colorado to find herself surrounded by Montogomery's. She thought it was a coincidence until she finds out Leif is her neighbor's cousin and best friend. after that no matter where she went, she would bump into him, and he would make it clear that he wanted her.
Brooke is super smart and works as a professor at a university. She has her priorities in order and that's her son. but that does not make everyone she works with happy, especially when they wanted her job. Leif has his past that is coming back to haunt him as well.
I love that this book had little drama and lots of swoon. I also loved that going into this without reading the first-generation books I still was not lost and feel like I didn't lose out by jumping into this series first.
The voice actors for this book did an amazing job bringing these characters to life!

Haunted in Darkness is the second book of the Aspen Pack series. This book is about Alpha Chase Leyne and Skye Anderson. The Aspen pack is still trying to build itself up from the last alpha who had murdered most of the pack as well as fight off the new threat that has targeted them and all other wolves. Chase is trying his best to be what his pack needs but has many insecurities as it was his father who had done the damage they are trying to build from. Patricia “Skye” Anderson is the Jameson pack princess but not ranking and feels like her wolf is broken because it doesn’t act like how it is supposed to. They are both attracted to each other but know that they are not mates and can only have fun together until they find their mates.
This book has great relationships between packs, friends, and family. It has suspense, and plenty of action. The only thing that I didn’t really like was that it felt over done being reminded constantly that they were not mates.
I did listen to the Audible for this book and the voice actors did an amazing job bringing this world to life.
It can be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading the first book to understand more of the vampire aspect of what’s going on.

Always the One for Me is the second book in the Wilder Brothers series. This book is about Evan Wilder and his ex-wife Kendall Wilder. This couple had met and married 10 years prior to where this book had begun. For reasons Kendall does not know Evan had filed for divorce two years into the marriage.

Years later Kendall and Evan are working together and constantly bickering. When Kendall decides its time to truly move on from her divorce and instead of flings start to seriously date, Evan cannot handle that news and gets his head out of his butt and realizes he needs Kendall in his life to be happy.

Evans reasoning for divorcing Kendall is heartbreaking, but also if i was Kendall i would not forgive as easily as she did. The character development was great. The side characters were amazing. I did feel so much heartbreak for Maddie and I hope in the next book she does date someone else and Elijah has to experience the same heartbreak she had to endure for two books. I don't think I can enjoy another book with her pining after him and him not noticing. Especially with how many times this book brought up how in love with Elijah she is and he's with someone else.

I did like how even though Evan only has one leg he did not use it at a crutch for his struggles. And how when it came to Kendall's family he was still behind her even when they were not together because he understood how much they hurt her even after all these years.

I really liked this book and you do not have to read it in order to enjoy and understand everything. I cannot wait for the third book to come out.

Inked Temptation is the fifth book in the Montgomery Ink: Fort Collins series. This is about Archer Montgomery a newly divorced man who is jaded with love and receives a wedding invite to his ex-husbands wedding, and Killian Hart who is set to live alone in the woods building his home heartbroken from his tragic past.

Not only is this my first Montgomery Ink Book it is also my first M/M book. I am so happy to say that Carrie Ann Ryan did such a great job in this book. I did not feel like I was missing anything by not reading any of the other books. This book flowed wonderfully, from the beginning to the end I couldn't get enough. Also, it did not feel any different from any other romance novel. The only difference was there are two wonderful voice actors in the audible who brought these characters to life, instead of a male and a female.

I loved watching both characters grow into themselves and overcome their pasts. I also love that though they help each other though their struggles they are more there as support instead of trying to fix the other person. There is a bit of suspense in the book to keep us on our feet. and so much love, laughter, and just all of the feels. I am going to recommend this book to so many people, Carrie Ann Ryan fans as well as people looking for something new.

Hidden Waters is the third book in the Tattered and Torn series. This book is about Adaline (Addy) Kemper and Beckett Easton. Addy is finally free from her abusive father and the life she had prior to her cousin Everly and her fiancé Hayes Easton saving her from the horror of a life she was stuck in. Though she still has to look over her shoulders because that life isn’t too far away to make her feel safe. Beckett Easton is back home from being a traveling doctor all over the world, but he comes with his own demons he is facing.
After the final straw Beckett needs to move out of his parents’ house while his own home is being built and he ends up being roommates with Addy. Addy is wanting to move on with her life and no longer be afraid to live it, and with that she gets the courage to have a male roommate and couldn’t ask for anyone better than Beckett. Both of these characters push each other out of their comfort zones with the right amount of energy needed without being over barring.
Most books especially in the romance category it’s the male lead who makes the book worthwhile and swoony. But after the last two books and knowing Addys character, she is just what makes this book go to the next level. I love that we got to watch her grow over the last few books but she shone and just was everything we needed her to be. I can’t really say too much more without giving anything away. Beckett was so good at being a guardian angel to her and really helping her achieve her goals that she wanted for herself.
I had the privilege of getting an Audible to review and the voice actors did an amazing job of bringing these characters to life. You really felt what these characters felt. And their voices really added to the story in such a great way.
I cannot recommend this book enough. It has instantly gone to the top of the favorite Catherine Cowles books. Though it can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading the first two books in this series first. You can really see how Beckett being away from his family really impacted them, as well as see the starting point from where Addy was to the women she had become and will really benefit you once you read this book.

Etched in Honor is the first book in a brand new series (the Aspen Pack) by Carrie Ann Ryan. I had the honor of getting an ARC of the audiobook and there is so much to say about this book.

The Aspen Pack is rebuilding itself after the former Alpha of the pack had killed so many members for dominance. The beta of this "new" pack is the same beta as the former pack Audrey. She is a lion shifter who was tortured by the former alpha for trying everything she could to save her pack but feels unworthy of the position after so many people had died. She had a mate about 30 years ago and he had died as well. Gavin, a wolf shifter and tracker, is joining the Aspens after being a nomad for so long not feeling like he belonged anywhere. He lost his memory and has no recollection of anything from 30 years prior and before. That is all I am going to give on that as to not say any spoilers.

These two must learn to trust in each other, as well as themselves as they do not feel like they are worth the positions given to them by the moon goddess. They have to learn rely on others and not take the load on themselves. This book has great world building, and new enemies. You also get to catch up with some characters from other pack series which is always fun.

I do recommend reading the other packs before starting this series so things make a bit more sense right away. This book is a great action book and the romance between the couples is more of a background of the actual story; not a bad thing, the book is still great! But if you are looking for a swoon worthy read this isn't it.

One Way Back to Me is the first book in the wilder brother series. It would be a better read if you start out with the prequel A Night to Remember which does come with the audiobook.
In a night to remember we get introduced to the Wilder Brothers fresh out of the military looking for something to give them purpose as the military is all they have known. When an opportunity comes up to buy in a resort full of opportunity and is already functioning and making money Eli Wilder brings up the idea to his brothers. While thinking about it Eli and one of his brothers attends a wedding at a friends resort to see how things would work. During that time Eli catches the garter and Alexis Lane catches the bouquet. During their dance there is a crazy amount of chemistry, and it was love at first sight for Eli. However, once the dance was over, Alexis gets a huge surprise by getting proposed too.
Two Years later is where One Way Back to Me picks up. Alexis is freshly divorced, broke, homeless, and in desperate need of a job where her ex-husband cannot sabotage her life anymore. Eli is in desperate need of a wedding planner as his old one had quit. Alexis is the one who shows up for the interview and the sparks pick up right where they left off. Eli will not let this second chance go for him, and even though Alexis is not wanting to get married or tied up with anyone again she cant help but falling for Eli.
This book is so adorable. It goes at a great pace and is a lighter read. I love that not only do you get the love story but get the bond of the brothers, get to watch Alexis open up, not only to romance but even to friendship and her relationship with the girls is epic.
I had the opportunity to listen to the audible and I have nothing but amazing things to say about it. The voice actors really brought this book to life, and you really could feel everything these characters were feeling.

The only down part of this is how long we must wait for the next book!

Falling Embers is the second book in the Tattered and Torn series by Catherine Cowles. It picks up a couple of months from where we left off in the first book. However, it follows Hadley Easton and Calder Cruz. Calder is a single dad of twin girls who has almost lost his entire world due to his ex-wife reckless behavior, now he is too careful with everything in life as a result. Hadley is the youngest of the Easton's and her big brother is Calder's best friend. Hadley and Easton were inseparable growing up until something that had happened four years before had ruined their friendship. Now, they are just around each other for the twins. Hadley loves them like crazy and won't let adult issues interfere with her bond with them. Hadley is a wild child as she was not allowed to really have a life due to her sister being kidnapped at such a young age for 5 days.

When something almost happens to Hadley it opens Calder's eyes to what he would have been losing, as a result he does everything in his power to make Hadley see him as more than what they have been the last few years. They have a lot of obstacles to overcome for them to make their love work, but the journey is so so great. I love that neither of them are willing to change for the other, they also do not want the other to change for them; they just want each other to understand them for who they are and why they are and accept each other for it.

The relationship with Hadleys mom in this story is so much worse than the first book and I am so happy it explains why it has progressed to what it is instead of leaving us guessing. I also love that just because certain events happened to open her mom's eyes the problem just isn't resolved, and they will be working on their relationship. I love the relationship all of the characters have with Birdie and Sage and that they both are so smart and have such different personalities but are both so great in their own way. The only thing I really didn't like about the book was all the time instead of Hadley facing her problems she just walks out and walks away, there were certain times it made sense other times it was just too much.

The suspense in this book was incredible. All I can say without giving anything away is I would have never guessed who was behind all of the stuff going wrong in this book.

I really recommend this book. I would recommend either listening or reading this book after Tattered Stars the first book in the series, so you get a really good background of what is going on. I had the opportunity to listen to it and the voice actors brought this story to life. You really got the opportunity to feel how the characters were feeling and they did such a great job!

The next book in this series cannot come soon enough!

Tattered Stars is the first book in the Tattered and Torn series by Catherine Cowles. I am going to start off by saying that I thought I couldn't love Catherine Cowles books any more than I did in the Wrecked Series, but this is my new favorite book she has written, and I cannot wait to see what else this series has in store!

Tattered Stars is about Everly Kemper (who we had kind of met in Reckless Refuge) and Hayes Easton. Everly is back in Wolf Gap, Oregon after a terrible event that not only changed her life but Hayes and his family's as well. At first Hayes is livid that she is back in town because of who her family is and all the memories she brings up. However, his family puts him in his place regarding how they feel about her and want to help her in any way they can just as she had at such a young age.

This book is not an insta love they go from animosity to friends to lovers throughout the book and its done at such a great pace. Everly has a backbone and is not a doormat, she is strong and brave and will stand up for herself as well as the people she cares about; she will also throw a punch if needed. Her family is a complicated thing when it comes to how she feels; she won't be caught with them (for obvious reasons) but also won't throw them under the bus; as much as I loathe her family, I feel like that part is so realistic. Even toxic family still has a place in your heart even if you want nothing to do with them. Hayes handles them so well, he is also so sweet and caring when it comes to Everly but also overbearing and broody when he is worried, its so swoony throughout the book know how much she is loved by this man.

The relationship she develops with not only Hayes but the rest of the Eastons is the family she always deserved. I do wish there was some scenes with her sister checking up on her after everything she had gone through especially with her uncle and brother. I do love that the next book involves Hadley and the person targeting her is already trying to get her. I also love that the dynamic between Hadley and her mother is already established so that when they do have a heart to heart it will be so much more special knowing how far they have come. I also hope Addy and Shiloh will get their happily ever after!

I am so excited to see what the rest of this series has instore!

I also got the amazing opportunity to not only read this book but get an ARC of the Audible as well. And the way these voice actors portray and show the emotion that these characters are feeling is so so wonderful. they really brought these characters to life and made you feel the emotions that everyone in this book were feeling.
