When three men snatch her off the street and drag her into the woods, she knows it’s the end. Until she came. Scales the color of flame and brimstone, a dragon drops out of the sky and saves her. I love the story line but had a hard time with the MC through most of the book. She was very whiny and childish. However, I have hopes that there will be some maturity gained in the second book. To be fair, it could also have been the narrator making the MC sound whinier than meant by the author. Still looking forward to the next book!

Story
Jai lives as a royal hostage in the Sabine Court—ever since his father Rohan, leader of the Steppefolk, led a failed rebellion and was executed by the very emperor Jai now serves. When the emperor’s son and heir is betrothed to Princess Erica of the neighboring Dansk Kingdom, she brings with her a dowry: dragons. Endemic to the northern nation, these powerful beasts come in several forms, but mystery surrounds them.

My only complaint about this book is that the others in the series are not out yet.
Well written, interesting, everything you could want. The narrator is top notch. Sad it has ended.

Story
The Lily and the Crown is a lesbian scifi romance about daring to risk your heart with someone you shouldn’t. Ariana “Ari” Geiker lives an isolated life on an imperial space station commanded by her father. Her nameless slave is watchful, intelligent, dangerous, and sexy, and seems to know an awful lot about tactics, star charts, and the dread, marauding pirate queen, Mir. What happens when the slave also reveals an expertise in seduction to her innocent mistress?

Not the best but good

I love Rosalyn Sinclair but this was not one of my favorites. There is naïve and there is obnoxiously childish naive- I feel the Ari character fit into the obnoxious category. Maybe just my personal opinion towards the behavior, maybe the way it was narrated. It was still a great story line though and worth a listen if you can get past the Ari character.

I wasn’t sure about this when I first got it. It’s not my typical genre but I was quickly pulled in and couldn’t stop listening. Despite the corny titles, this is a well written and interesting series. 10/10 recommend.

Although she tried to make the right decision to protect herself and her heart, Andi couldn’t resist the pull of Damian Blackwood, billionaire, dragon shifter, and secret assassin. Now both she and Damian (and his dragon) couldn’t be happier. She’s certainly not complaining about dating a gorgeous, intense, and savage man who fulfills her every fantasy. For the first time in her life Andi feels treasured. Despite their many differences, like her Chinese-American upbringing and his life in another realm, one with magic and dragons, she and Damian fit together like two pieces of a puzzle.

Great story line but hard to get through
Reviewed: 04-23-24
The writing and the narration are both very amateurish. The books were not well fleshed out and could have been so much better. I found it hard to get through the series and would not have continued beyond the first book if I hadn’t purchased it as a set.

I never intended to bond with a dragon. I definitely didn't intend to become his wife. Now I must wed the Crown Prince, a man who is as cruel as he is handsome. Yet, as soon as my dragon and I are presented to the king and queen, we are rejected. My dragon is not big enough, not good enough, and neither am I.

Story
Birdie Binkowitz is just a little bitter. As a young actress, she was the toast of Hollywood, definitely destined for greatness. Then the dragons had to rise up from their thousand-year slumber, take over Earth and ruin everything. Twenty years later, Birdie is living her worst life in her hometown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, working at her father's Seed and Feed (and Bagels). Then, a mysterious dragon appears in front of the store seeking her help. He’s got a bone to pick with his fellow dragons–and he wants to hit them where it hurts.
