Really good story
Reviewed: 11-10-24
A short story of spiritualism. Riano D. McFarland can sure put some good books on the market and while I wish it was longer, it was a very good and interesting book. Just, shorter.
Narration was good but it did put me off at first because the emotional changes and vocal character changes were so very subtle that it took a while to settle in and catch the changes she was making.

Story
Entrepreneur Ethan DeTournay has devoted his life to two things: solving the problem of clean energy, and achieving full membership in the elite philanthropic Order of the Global Brotherhood. At last, he has an opportunity to potentially achieve both objectives at once. The only problem is, their mining operation would result in an environmental poison to the neighboring rural Mexican community. The Order considers this a reasonable sacrifice in the name of ‘the greater good.’ If he refuses, he’ll lose everything.

I loved the storyline. Often going to Google to learn more about various topics raised as it elevated interest in reading about the Annunaki, among other things. Mitch did 'lecture' a lot but even though I thought I knew where he was going with it, it often surprised me. I did laugh at Ethans outburst on his going back to creation.
The narrator did very well. There was a couple of voices that were similar but pauses, voice patterns and inflection easily distinguished between them so it presented no problems in identifying who was speaking. Well done.

I wasn't sure I would like a virtual voice, however within just a few minutes I was so engrossed in the story that I totally forgot about it. There was only a couple of small places where a word was off that I remembered. it wasn't distracting from the storyline. There were intriguing twist and turns that captured your attention throughout the book so you never lost interest from start to finish. Great job and imagination from the author!!!

I feel like the character of Marshall Blackstone is the epitome of the man all ladies would like to meet. It is not that this is has a sexual tension, but more like his morals, values and treatment of others is something all men seem to be lacking in most of society. I am glad that the author has given us an character that children can emulate that would bring about a profound change in the world today.
Great book and so far the series has been wonderful.
