Story
It’s been five years since the accident that killed the love of her life and she’s almost a new person now—an artist with her own studio and sharing a brownstone apartment with her ride-or-die best friend, Joy, who insists it’s time for Feyi to ease back into the dating scene. Feyi isn’t ready for anything serious, but a steamy encounter at a rooftop party cascades into a whirlwind summer she could have never imagined: a luxury trip to a tropical island, decadent meals in the glamorous home of a celebrity chef, and a major curator who wants to launch her art career.

This story was a bit inconsistent with the storyline. I found myself asking where are we and how do we get to this point of the book. There were a few juicy moments. The narrator did a really good job with his part. Overall, I could’ve used those 10 hours for another read.

Grown-up as a young black boy from South Carolina, I always admired Will Smith. Now as an adult, and to see how he has matriculated through life is further inspiring. The overall lesson that I got from this book is if you want to achieve something, set a goal, actively work toward it, and enjoy it when you receive it.

I did not like the fact that there were 3 books in 1. The story line at points became very confusing. There were moments in the book where I did not know which character was being narrated.

This was a book with an awful story line. The narrator's voice was painful to listen to as he mimicked the characters voices throughout the book. Though it was not a good book, I listened to the end to see what really happened. It was such an abrupt ending.
