Zo Grey is reeling from the sudden death of her mother when she receives a surprising call from an attorney in Divinity, Louisiana, with the news she has been left an inheritance by a distant relative, the terms of which he will only discuss in person. Destitute and alone, with nothing left to lose, Zo heads to Divinity and discovers she is the sole beneficiary of a huge fortune and a monstrosity of a house that sits ominously at the peak of Watch Hill—but she must live in it, alone, for three years before the house, or the money, is hers.

I was nervous that the author would make Hecate out to be a villainess like so many other modern day story tellers do, but this was a wonderfully enjoyable version of Her. I love the Percy Jackson novels! And that this one came out during my favorite time of year is a mega bonus 😁. Great job!

Steven had my heart crying tears of appreciation. Like I felt seen and heard on a level that matters most to me. I"ve read and listened to many interpretations of my natal chart over the last 20 years and Steven"s are the first that resonate deeply within my spirit. For me this was shadow work at its best!
When you listen to this book have your natal chart out in front of you and follow along when he mentions your placements. I promise you there will be something triggered in you that will help you understand your life and your life"s mission.
I most definitely will be getting the next 3 books in this series. THANK YOU Steven 🙏🏾🪷

I really wish I could give 5 stars

This book is chock full of great information. I like the history Denise gives on the practise of Hoodoo, the way she lays out the various Saints, Lwa, Orisha, and the few American Indian folk Saints, the herbs, crystals, and many many tools used in this tradition. This would be a great beginners book for someone that may not yet have an elder to learn from.
I"m about 6 hours in and was enjoying the book until she began telling people how to do a spell to "make your woman sexually interested in you." I take issue with stuff like this because to me it can, and most certainly will, be used irresponsibly by people who have no idea what they are doing or simply do not care about the boundaries of others. It felt tantamount to r@pe. Denise is not the first author I have heard give out a spell like this, but I REALLY wish people would be more mindful of what they make public. That should have been one spell to keep under wraps and only given to a client if the situation called for it, and of course with the woman"s consent.
Denise Alvarado is a wonderful author and I do love her books. Just please, for all my occult writers, take care what you put out. You could be giving someone a loaded weapon they don"t respect.

I liked the book. My one irritation is the egregious comment made about Baron Samedi which I have never found to be true according to the people that actually work with Him. Seems more like a new aged, Wiccanized variation, not authentic.
In regards to the information on LA Santa Muerte, I can"t say if it is authentic and accurate or not. To determine that I"d need to speak to my Mexican sisters and brothers that commune with Her. That being said, the book gives a good bit of information and it is interesting enough that I now want to take a trip to Cali and Mexico to find out more.

Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can"t seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he"s not even sure he believes himself.

I"ve been reading Mrs. Comings books since her first Highlander novel. The Fever series is phenomenal, but I had to kind of tune out Jim"s narration parts though. He has a good voice but I think he would have been better for a different book. Dancer and Christian sounded like they were in their 60s, Barrons and Ryodin did not give me that sexy seductive vibe. I really did not like the "British" accent Ryodin was given. That threw me off. Moving on to the next book and I hope it"s a lot better. But again, the story itself is well worth the listen.

This is the book I wish I had 15 years ago. The author writes with both the new Witch and the Veteran Witch in mind as she Lay"s out the many pitfalls, insecurities, hangups, and issues that arise as one begins and develops their craft. When I started learning about Witchcraft I had many of these same insecurities. Had I knew someone that could give the advice the author gives I think it would have made my journey a bit smoother. Not easier, but definitely much more consistent and assured. I highly recommend reading/listening to this book ESPECIALLY if you are just beginning your craft.

Ok first let me say 🙏🏾 thank you to Mrs. Moning for being so consistent in writing her stories. I"ve been reading this series since the original Highlander books (😍 still waiting on more from that series too) and every one of them has been brilliantly played out.
I"m a plotline type of woman so I just love authors that ACTUALLY tell a story. This book, and this entire series, is so full of adventure, mystery, magic, sharp intellect and cunning, and real life lessons. If this is supposed to be the last installment of this series I am grateful to have these memories of Mac and Baron"s Dublin. If there are more to come 😍🙏🏾😁 I can"t wait to see what happens next!
